Yesterday, the Association of Passenger Vehicles released the March sales data, and the domestic narrow passenger car sales reached 1.579 million units in March, down 10.5% year-on-year and 25.6% month-on-month. Due to the impact of the new round of the epidemic, the transaction volume in many places has declined, and the overall sales volume in March has declined to a certain extent compared with the same period last year, especially in the high-end car market.

March high-end car sales list: Mercedes-Benz E-class won the championship, BMW two models fell significantly
In March, three models of luxury cars sold more than 10,000 copies, namely the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A4. With the exception of the Jaguar XFL, the rest of the models on the list have shown varying degrees of year-on-year decline.
In March, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class won the monthly championship with a result of 12,797 units, and it was also the smallest decline in the year-on-year decline. Mercedes-Benz C-Class sales were 9415 units, ranking fifth.
Last month's sales champion BMW 3 Series sales decreased significantly, only 8519 vehicles were sold, down 51.0% year-on-year, which is the largest decline in the list, ranking down to 6th; coincidentally, BMW 5 Series sales fell 25.0% from the same period last year, ranking second. Product quality is often reflected in sales, and it can be seen on the complaint list in March that many BMW models have been complained about because of burning engine oil, word of mouth has fallen, coupled with problems such as reduced allocation, sales have declined significantly.
In terms of Audi, the performance of the Audi A4 and Audi A6 models was relatively stable, with sales of 10,752 and 9,453 units in March, respectively, ranking third and fourth respectively.
The ranking of the second echelon has not changed much, and the Volvo S90, Hongqi H9, and Cadillac CT6 all have a year-on-year decline of more than 30%. The Jaguar XFL made the list with 692 units, and it was the only model on the list to see positive year-over-year growth.
In the first quarter, a total of three models sold more than 40,000 units. The BMW 5 Series is still in first place, but the gap is narrowing; the Mercedes-Benz E-Class surpasses the BMW 3 Series and rises to second place, while the gap between the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and other models is larger.
March high-end SUV sales list: Model Y nearly 40,000 units won the championship, fuel models collectively declined
In terms of high-end SUVs, a total of 5 models sold more than 10,000, and the fuel models on the list fell year-on-year.
In March, Tesla Model Y deliveries reached a staggering 39,730 units, winning the championship without suspense, an increase of 291.4% year-on-year. However, due to the special situation in Shanghai, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory has stopped production at the end of March and has not yet resumed work, which is bound to have a greater impact on its subsequent delivery.
In addition to the Model Y, there are also new energy models such as ideal ONE (11034 units/No.4), NIO ES6 (5064 units/No.6), AND EC6 (3032 units/No.10) on the list, with positive year-on-year growth. It can be seen that high-end new energy models are gradually penetrating the high-end SUV market, which has caused a big impact on traditional high-end fuel vehicles.
Looking at the BBA, the Mercedes-Benz GLC was the highest-ranked model in the BBA in March, with sales reaching 12,748 units, which is also the smallest degree of decline in models. The new car GLC is on the way, and it is hoped that the production capacity can keep up, so its sales are still worth looking forward to. The BMW X3 came in third with 11,034 units, while the Audi Q5L came in fifth.
In terms of the cumulative first quarter, Tesla Model Y ranked first with a performance of 74681 units, an increase of 354.8% year-on-year; and the Mercedes-Benz GLC is the most obvious advantage in the BBA, with a cumulative sales of more than 5,000 more than the BMW X3.
