1. Three electric "refresh"
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new Geometry G6 will be divided into two configurations, high and low, both equipped with a new module-free CTP battery pack, with a range of 410/500km respectively, matched with a 100/150kW three-in-one electric drive, and the fastest zero acceleration can reach 6.9 seconds. At the same time, the charging speed of high-end models has been improved, and the charging time of 30%-80% takes only 20 minutes.
From the perspective of endurance, the new geometric G6 has indeed shrunk compared to the current 480/620km, and there is also a "reduced" sound on the network. However, from a realistic point of view, it is not difficult to find that the guidance price of the current geometry G6 is 14.98-189,800 yuan, and the high price makes it difficult to be competitive, and the high-end model is almost unpopular, so it has to give up discounts at the terminal.
On the one hand, for the purpose of reducing costs and selling prices, the competitiveness of the Geometry G6 will be pulled back from 150,000-200,000 to 100,000-150,000 to carry out a "dimensionality reduction strike"; On the other hand, it is also to respond to the user's voice and improve the charging speed.
In fact, whether it is "increase" or "reduction" is not important, as long as the price is cost-effective enough, in order to obtain the user's recognition. Bold guess, after the launch on September 10, the geometry G6 is likely to offer a price of 110,000-140,000 yuan, which will surprise users.
2. Interior and exterior adjustment and upgrade

In terms of styling, the 2024 geometric G6 still follows the current "Light Language Future" design concept, with LED headlight groups and closed front grilles, focusing on technology. Including the ergonomics of the entire power seat, rear legroom and flatness of the rear center floor, the new geometry G6 has also been adjusted to improve the comfort of rear passengers. 3. Slightly higher than the driving experience of online ride-hailing
This time, I also drove the car to the open road to experience and test. There are indeed slots, but more are actually highlights, let's say them one by one.
First of all, the slot, a pure tram at this price, the suspension is difficult to take into account the comfort of the ride. It is indeed the texture of a standard ride-hailing car, and it is also the price of a ride-hailing car, which is undeniable. Including the audio, it is also the level of conventional ride-hailing.
And many designs of this car are actually a little "anti-human". For example, the opening of the hood is on the passenger side, not the regular main driver's foot pedal, and the handbrake is also placed on the panel at the bottom left of the steering wheel, in fact, it is not impossible to cancel this physical button.
And the highlights, I think the best thing is actually its drivability. Even if the motor is only 100kW, it is more than enough to overtake in urban roads and loops, and the 3-speed kinetic energy recovery also gives users enough choice. In addition, after the addition of the comfortable brake function, even novice drivers can step on the "insensible brake", which may be a big benefit for ride-hailing users, and they will never hear complaints related to "motion sickness" again.
In addition, even if it is a low-end model, its configuration is actually not low. For example, the less common driver assistance system in its class, it is standard.

One thing that surprised me about this test drive was that I usually get closer to the car, and when I didn't have time to brake at the first time, the system actually gave an AEB warning before my action to remind me to pay attention. Perhaps this is also the point of the new geometry G6 actively optimized, more accurate algorithms and earlier braking can avoid many accidents.
As for energy consumption, I used the strategy of 30% urban traffic light roads and 70% ring roads to simulate the road conditions of commuting to and from Beijing. Although not a morning and evening rush, the congestion situation is a bit like 10 o'clock in the morning.
Finally, at an average speed of 37km/h, the energy consumption is 12.3kWh/100km, which is equivalent to about 85% of the cruising range, just for your reference.

All in all, the new Geometry G6 focuses on upgrades in the three-electric system and interior comfort, and my evaluation of it is "a smarter and more comfortable advanced version of ride-hailing".
