Recently, Zhidian Mobility obtained the latest news of BMW's new X7 pure electric version model, the new car will be named "iX7", and it is planned to be officially launched in 2027, and will start production with the new generation X7 model in the Spartanburg plant of BMW Group, USA. By then, the new car is also expected to be imported into the domestic market within the same year, and the main competitors in the same class include Mercedes-Benz EQS, BYD Yangwang U8, Range Rover pure electric version and other models.
As can be seen from the previously released appearance effect pictures, BMW's new iX7 head is equipped with a closed kidney grille, and the exclusive badge of the i series model is added above, and the sides are equipped with split LED headlight groups. At the rear, a through-through LED tail light cluster may be provided, and the exhaust layout on both sides will be eliminated below. According to overseas media, the size of the new car will also be lengthened on the basis of the fuel version model, which will have more advantages than the new generation of X7 fuel version model.
In terms of power, BMW's all-new iX7 will be equipped on the brand's CLAR platform, share the power combination with the brand's i7 model, and use front and rear dual motor driving drive, equipped with a 101.7kW·h battery pack, and the maximum cruising range can reach 512km. At the same time, the new car is equipped with a more advanced battery pack, consisting of a newly developed round battery of the BMW Group. Frank Weber, head of brand research and development, said that the energy density of the sixth-generation lithium-ion battery will be increased by more than 20%, the charging speed will be increased by 30%, and the cruising range will be increased by 30%.

In terms of interior, BMW's new iX7 may adopt the same design elements as the i7 model, equipped with a dual-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and equipped with a floating LCD instrument cluster + LCD central control integrated curved screen, and an electronic toggle gear shift mechanism below.
