It is worth mentioning that due to cost fluctuations, Tesla has adjusted Model Y's pricing in the United States for the second time this week, and it is also the fourth time Tesla has adjusted Model Y's pricing in the United States since the beginning of 2023, and it has risen by $2,000 since it cut the price by $13,000 in early January.
IT House has reported that Tesla raised the pricing of several Model 3 and Model Y models last weekend. On February 4, the Model Y Performance Edition increased its price by $1,000 again. Last week, the Model Y long-range version increased its price by $1,500 to $54,990, while the performance version increased its price by $1,000 to $57,990.
Currently, the 4680 batteries used in Tesla's Model Y are only manufactured at Gigafactory, Texas, and in limited quantities. Tesla lists the model in its "on-hand" inventory, but it can't be ordered online through traditional methods for the time being.
As new car price volatility continues to spur demand, coupled with IRS tax policies, Tesla may further adjust Model Y pricing.
On February 3, the IRS added Tesla Model Y to the list of tax-eligible vehicles, which means that Tesla's new car cost will be reduced by $7,500 in the United States, which also means that Tesla will continue to adjust accordingly.
