At the height of World War II, in a quiet American town, people called an 8-year-old "little boy" (Jacob Salvati). War was approaching, and since the little boy's brother was flat-footed, his father had to join the army. The little boy has lived alone ever since, and his only hope is that his father will return home soon.
One day, he occasionally heard the priest say that with faith the size of a seed, he could move the mountain and fulfill his wish. This sermon made the little boy fall into a magic obstacle, and he felt that he could use his faith to get his father back to his side. When the priest saw all this and wanted to help him, he made a list of good deeds for him, including providing a place for the homeless, visiting the sick, and so on, and told him that if he did it, he would be able to fulfill his wishes. In the town, Hashimoto, a Japanese expatriate who has immigrated for decades, is inhabited. Because of the war, the Americans in the town regarded this Hashimoto as an enemy.
