In 1980, I graduated from junior high school and was admitted to nanchang meteorological school, a secondary school directly under the National Meteorological Administration at that time, with the second place in Chaohu area. That year, 10 students in Anhui were admitted to Nanchang Gas School, and my test score (352 points) was the highest.
In 1983, I was assigned to Anhui with 7 other classmates, another 2 Anhui classmates were assigned to the Agricultural Meteorological Experiment Station of Nanjing Meteorological College, and 1 classmate in the class was assigned to the National Meteorological Administration. It is indeed distributed nationwide, but it is mainly based on the return to the province.
In those years, almost all the people who were admitted to the Nanchang Meteorological School were the top students of the middle school entrance examination in various counties, cities and even provinces. I remember a Shandong classmate in the class, who scored 379 points in the four courses of the middle school entrance examination, and ranked among the best in the province. At that time, the middle school examination paper was generally a provincial proposition, but when it was admitted, it was the admission score line drawn by the local cities.
There are a total of 48 students in our class, by the time of the 30th anniversary of graduation, 2 students died due to car accidents, 2 students resigned after graduating from secondary school and were admitted to university to engage in economic work, and 3 students changed to courts, newspapers and vocational schools, and the rest of the students all worked in meteorological bureaus at all levels. That is to say, if the annual income point is placed on two-dimensional coordinates, the resulting "income cloud" will be very flat.
Here I would like to explain in particular that one of the two students who resigned from secondary school and resigned and entered the university, if it is based on income, it must be the "best mixed" among our secondary school students. She was admitted to the University of Finance and Economics in the second year after graduating from secondary school, and when we gathered for 30 years, she was already an "independent director" of a listed company in Shenzhen, and her income was not comparable to that of our working class. Later, when my son graduated with a doctorate and wanted to enter the financial industry, I also specially asked my "independent director" old classmate, who gave good choice advice. I am really proud of this old secondary school classmate. Although his son graduated with a doctorate, he also very much recognized his father's group of old secondary school students, believing that "poverty limits vision" (the son is quite good at summarizing, which is a phrase).
To this day, I still feel sorry for my old classmates who, like me, have been working in the meteorological department. The biggest official is Zheng County, and the highest title is Zheng Gao, but so what? If we change to a better industry (such as engaging in the economy), due to the greater room for appreciation, we who are highly intelligent students will definitely have greater career prospects, higher incomes and more influential influence that reflects their own value.

Our next generation is already better, and many kids are admitted to 985 college. Among them, my son was admitted to Xiamen University and has been working for more than three years after graduating with a doctorate. And the child of a female secondary school classmate in Shandong, who actually took the provincial science examination more than a decade ago (which became a hot topic at the 30-year party), graduated from Tsinghua University long ago.
Nowadays, in our meteorological system, if you say that you are a graduate of Nanchang Meteorological School, no matter which university graduated from the peer or leader, no one will underestimate you, the usual praise is: "Nanchang graduates, are very smart, very powerful." ”
