Located on the banks of the Huangpu River, this museum with a construction area of 42,000 square meters and a maximum cantilever of 27 meters is transformed from the former Nanshi Power Plant, which was once the "City Future Pavilion" during the 2010 World Expo. It has witnessed the urban transformation of Shanghai from industry to the information age, and its rough and uninhibited industrial architectural style provides artists with rich imagination and creative possibilities. As an open platform for the display and learning of contemporary art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai holds many exhibitions of works of different artistic styles every year, the most influential of which is the "Shanghai Biennale", which is also one of the most important biennials in Asia. At present, there are four exhibitions in the museum, including "Green Policy Plan 2021", Liang Shaoji: Silkworm I Silkworm, John Hayduk: Masquerade at Sea, and Hou Saiyin Karajan: Archipelago, of which Hussein Karajan: Islands is a paid exhibition, but it is still very friendly to the elderly (60 years old and above) and children (12 years old and below), and can be viewed free of charge.
