On January 9, 1941, the Japanese army invaded and occupied Lu County, Shanxi, and then burned and murdered adulterers everywhere, slaughtering unarmed people.
In the autumn of 1941, bad luck soon fell on Cao Heimao, who had just been married, and the 19-year-old Cao Heimao was beating grain at home, and the Japanese army came to find the "flower girl" again.
Subsequently, the Japanese army kicked open Cao Heimao's home. Without saying a word, Liu dragged Cao Heimao away directly, and no matter how much Cao Heimao's husband obstructed him, he was not the opponent of the Japanese devils, and immediately killed his husband cruelly.
Cao Heimao was also escorted to a Japanese artillery tower in the nearby village of Jingui. In this way, she became the "woman in the turret" in the mouth of the villagers.
In the winter of 1941, under the torment of the devil day and night, Cao Heimao became pregnant, and she must not let this animal be born. As soon as she had time, she managed to run in the yard, jump around, carry heavy objects, and hit the corner of the table with her stomach when no one was paying attention.
One night, Cao Heimao felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, and the pain caused her to roll from the kang to the ground. After a night of pain, she finally miscarried.
However, the Japanese army did not let Cao Heimao go, and after her miscarriage, a few days later, they began to rape her in turn.
Such a hellish day, she really did not want to live. Several escapes were captured and brutally beaten. After some torture, she had become skinny and bony, and she was no longer in shape.
It was not until the summer of 1943 that Cao Heimao found that she was pregnant again during the non-stop rape of the Japanese army, and one night, she took advantage of the Japanese army to relax her vigilance, and with the help of her neighbors, escaped from the bunker of the stronghold, ran for more than ten miles, and finally returned home.
After returning home, the people in the village pointed out to her and thought she was not clean, and Cao Heimao's mother also felt that she was pregnant with the evil seeds of the Japanese, which was too humiliating, so she arranged for her to be in a cave and brought her some food from time to time.
Nine months later, a boy was born from Cao Heimao, and looking at the baby boy covered in blood in front of her, Cao Heimao tightly squeezed the child's neck, and resentment and humiliation surged into her heart in an instant.
Cao Heimao also lost her fertility from then on, and it was not until she was almost 50 years old that she adopted two children. Her daughter has since taken care of her life.
In 1995, Cao Heimao sued the Japanese government in the Tokyo court in Japan, claiming compensation for the "comfort women" system. But until her death on July 24, 2018, she did not seek justice for herself.
The victims only wanted an apology, but Japan was waiting for them to grow old and die to cover up their evidence. They can't say that they are old and dead, but as future generations, we must remember this history, and we can still say.
Based on 127 "comfort women", Cao Heimao participated in the "comfort women" in the film "Great Cold" that was implemented during the Japanese invasion of China and exposed the atrocities of the Japanese army. At the end of the movie, this passage of Grandma Cao Heimao touched thousands of us:
