Popsicles

Kids eating ice cream reminds me of popsicles. At a summer rally around 1981, I was meeting with my distant cousin and nephew, who was three years older than my cousin, whose family was in good condition, and when we attended the meeting, his grandfather gave us a dollar. We walked 7 miles to the township rally, and the weather was hot, and the people in the meeting rubbed shoulders and were bustling.

My cousin and nephew have this dollar, which seems to have given me a heroic guts. At the rally, we walked aimlessly with the crowd, when we suddenly saw a group of people around buying something, and looked up to see that they were selling popsicles.

I looked at my cousin, who said he wanted to eat. When I was about ten years old, I volunteered to buy it, and I took over the money, so I climbed in from the bottom of the crowd and bought a popsicle, a dime. I bought one and gave my cousin a popsicle and ninety cents.

My cousin devoured and added to it, and as I touched the beads of sweat on my head with my hand, the rhythm of my throat and the sound of my cousin's bite resonated with the same frequency.

Finally, my eyes disappeared like the popsicles where they had been thrown.
