In the initial investigation, police suspected it was a case of murder for money, as several ornaments were found to be missing. Upon further investigation, the Police determined that a known person was involved.

The task force formed began to inquire about the situation in Gangaland, and he went to krs village after learning of the death. During the interrogation, Gongaran admitted to having an affair with another man named Lakshmi, who was a relative of the victim Lakshmi.

After reviewing the surveillance footage, Lakshmi was spotted traveling on a motorcycle around 4 a.m. on Sunday. Sources said Lakshmi confessed to the crime during the trial.
