In 1864, Liu Mingchuan led his troops into Changzhou. Late one night, Liu Mingchuan was about to rest when he suddenly heard a metal crashing sound coming from outside the window, "There are assassins!" The guards came to the sound, who knew that they had searched the front and back of the house, and there was no shadow of the assassin. At this moment, the sound of metal crashing was heard again in the darkness...

The crowd followed the sound and found that it was an iron ring in the stable, because the wind shook back and forth and hit the manger next to it. It turned out to be a false alarm! However, some guards found a strange thing, this manger is made of wood, why can it make a metallic sound when it is hit?

Liu Mingchuan approached the manger to check it out, and then let people move it out to clean, and when the two guards moved the manger, they realized that it was too heavy and did not look like it was made of wood at all. It was later discovered that it was years of dust and dirt that had stuck to the surface, disguising its true face— it was originally a metal artifact, but because it resembled a manger, it was placed in the stable.

This metal artifact that looks like a manger has a large mouth and a small bottom, two ringed animal ears on each of the four walls, and a dense inscription carved at the bottom. After verification, the inscription records that Zibai of the Kingdom of Yu returned triumphantly from the battlefield, and the King of Zhou set up a feast for him to celebrate and gave him a bow horse, and Yu Jizibai cast this object as a memorial.

Knowing that this object was from the Western Zhou Dynasty treasure "Yu Jizi White Plate", Liu Mingchuan immediately ordered his cronies to quietly transport it back to his hometown of Hefei. Unexpectedly, soon after Liu Mingchuan transported the treasure to his hometown, the forces from all sides heard the news and wanted to move, and everyone wanted to take this valuable treasure for themselves. Later, Liu Mingchuan's family was overwhelmed and simply buried the "White Disk of Yu Jizi" deep in the ground, and then the family moved to a foreign place...

Until 1949, Liu Mingchuan's fourth-generation great-grandson Liu Su dug up the "White Disk of The Dragon Season" and handed it over to the state. Today, the "White Plate of the Season" is in the collection of the National Museum.

In the 5,000 years of Chinese historical civilization, there are many national treasures such as the "White Plate of The Season of The Dragon" that have been handed down. In the "Forbidden City Calendar" of the Year of the Tiger launched by the Palace Museum, a total of 365 national treasures are presented, and behind each national treasure, a long history and the inheritance of brilliant culture are recorded.
