Apprentice Wen Dong has studied with Zhang Yungang since 2018, while enhancing his culinary skills, he has also significantly improved his sense of professional identity, only the first Chinese he was worried about his livelihood, but now, Wen Dong has a good income with this craft, based on a family in the provincial capital city, and has participated in the provincial cooking skill competition for many times, constantly exchanging skills with his peers.

It is worth mentioning that Wen Dong, under his own hard study and the words and deeds of his master, obtained the provincial chef senior technician professional qualification certificate in 2019, which in his view is a great encouragement.

For Zhang Yungang, Wen Dong is only one of his chefs, and he has trained 7 intermediate chef technicians and thousands of people in the skills upgrading training of community reemployment personnel. Therefore, in order to stimulate the innovation vitality of skilled talents, the local social security department listed the "Zhang Yungang Provincial Skill Master Studio" in 2018, looking forward to giving play to the positive role of the skill master studio in the aspects of apprenticeship transmission, skill inheritance, skill research and promotion.

Shi Yongbin, director of the Vocational Capacity Building Division of the Gansu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, said that as of now, Gansu has reviewed 35 national-level and 81 provincial-level skill master studios (of which 32 are double-listed). The province gives one-time financial subsidies of 100,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan to the national and provincial skill master studios respectively to encourage skill innovation and development, which aims to improve the social treatment, let skilled talents gain a sense of professional identity, create a good environment for the development of skilled talents, and promote the construction of "Skill Gansu" with high-quality human and social services.
