Only when you look back can you see the road you have traveled.

I applied for medical school when I went to university. Not because I liked medicine, but because I was the only one in my family who went to college, and mom and dad wanted me to have a good job with stability. I agreed, because I also wanted to have a good job, thinking that I could take care of my family's health as a doctor.

I studied at Shanghai Medical University (now called Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University) for seven years. I chose general surgery when I graduated. At that time, I chose surgery because I thought about the high income of surgery; general surgery was thinking that general surgery could do a lot of surgery and see any disease, which was very remarkable.

At that time, the income of small surgeons was not high, and now perhaps the income of surgeons is relatively not low, but it is also very hard. If I choose another specialty, I will never choose general surgery, because medicine is too advanced, and no doctor can do anything.

At that time, there was only one course in the nutrition course in medical school, and the total class hours added up to about ten hours, and it was an elective course. Now I know that medical schools abroad are similar, and the emphasis on nutrition is equally low. But I have the impression that nutrition class is one of my favorite classes.

During my graduate studies, I was doing residency research in the hospital. At that time, I thought about doing more surgery, but because of the need for scientific research, I spent a lot more time in the laboratory than in the operating room.

At that time, my research was mainly to do genetic research on cancers of the digestive tract. To be honest, it's boring. But in retrospect, it was a very useful experience.

I participated in some general surgeries, although I only had one or two appendicitis surgeries, the rest were as assistants to pull the hook and watch the surgeon cut the gallbladder, stomach cancer, bowel cancer, breast cancer. Often at the end of the surgery I have the opportunity to sew the skin, over the hidden as a surgeon.

The opportunity for surgery gave me a first-hand understanding of the organs of the digestive tract. The experience of collecting nearly 100 specimens of gastrointestinal tumors also made me intuitively sensitive to cancer.

Of course, I don't like the surgeon's night shift, the helplessness of facing advanced cancer, the smell of potions in hospital wards and the oppressive work environment. So after graduation I chose to leave the hospital, I want to see the world.

After nearly five years of basic pathology and immunology research abroad, I went to business school again. But after a bit of a lap, I realized that I still like the health industry.

Many times the principles of health and fitness are the same, requiring exercise and healthy eating. But doctors tell patients to exercise more and eat healthier, and patients often don't listen. Because health is such an asset that people cherish only when they are lost. I talk about #weight loss # talk about #fitness # Some people are willing to listen, because the vest line mermaid line is such an asset that people will tirelessly pursue only when they don't have it.

The health I like is not medical. Because diseases that often require medical treatment have often missed the best time to intervene.

The teacher in the medical school said: "Go to the doctor to heal the country, Chinese medicine to heal people, and the next medicine to heal the disease." I also remember what the teacher said: "Heal without illness."

I don't think there is any distinction between medical treatment and medical treatment, but I feel that medicine is far from doing enough in disease prevention. Too many resources and financial resources are spent on researching drugs and surgeries, and too few resources are spent on lifestyle improvements.

#Exercise# and #Nutrition are the lifestyles I know have the biggest impact on health, and of course, emotional management.

Looking back on half my life, I know that I will continue to explore the road of #health. Every past experience is a valuable asset.

There's so much to explore about health, exercise, and nutrition. I am thankful that my education and experience have given me the tools and resources to explore.

Although I did not become a doctor according to my parents' wishes, I am grateful that I went to medical school under their influence. It was the most cherished, precious, and rewarding experience I had.

Thank you also for your willingness to read my information and tolerate a halfway fitness instructor talking nonsense about nutrition and health.
