The land of China that year was in the era of collapse and happiness.

Confucius traveled around trying to persuade the princely states to pay attention to the system of ritual music and follow the way of the monarch and the vassals. Faced with a house on fire, Confucius was like a brave firefighter, rushing to fight the fire.

Was this fire saved? This is not a question of Confucius's thinking, do firefighters need to think about whether they can put out fires? Therefore, it was Confucius's instinct to rush into the sea of fire without hesitation.

The ritual system is the fundamental system of a country, and without a system, there is no ceremony to follow. Why did Confucius attach so much importance to Li Le?

The source of Confucianism is Taoism, heaven determines humanity, and heaven determines humanity. The Heavenly Dao has its own set of operating rules, and all things can survive in harmony.

The system of a country must be anchored by the Heavenly Dao, and the Confucians have directly moved the set of the Heavenly Dao down for humanity. Heaven dominates everything, and the Son of Heaven, as the lord of the world, must also dominate everything.

Some people may say that the Son of Heaven is in control of everything, and the people are not free?

At that time, the Son of Heaven represented the Holy King who could penetrate the heavens and the earth, and they must be as impartial as the Heavenly Dao, protect their people, and create an environment that is enough for them to live happily.

Later, with the expansion of human desire, the relationship between the entire Son of Heaven and the bureaucracy completely collapsed, and the Holy King was no longer everywhere as in ancient times.

Seeing that all this was about to collapse, Confucius spared no effort to publicize the king of culture and martial arts. From this point of view, Confucius was a brave sage who was not afraid of any difficulties and obstacles. He knew that he could not do it because Confucius, as a wise man and gentleman, had his unswerving responsibility.

However, for a sick society, it is very difficult to cure the disease without first using drugs to dispel evil spirits, but to let the patient follow the laws of nature, so as to obtain healing.

Confucius's way is not to fight the chaos through power first, but to hope that everyone will return directly to the royal society, which also does not work.

The reason why Confucius wanted to get an official and a half-job was not because Confucius naturally liked to be an official. Rather, for a sage who has the talent of the heavens and the earth, for a gentleman who takes the world as his duty, only by grasping power can he suppress chaos, can he use power to straighten out, and ultimately realize his own ambitions.

When Confucius failed, he was not discouraged. Can't report to the state under the people, can't protect the country with death, Confucius thought of wei dao.

Confucianism itself derives from the official position of Situ, which is specifically designed to educate the people.

Therefore, Confucius set up private studies and embarked on the path of Wei Dao, which profoundly affected the future Chinese society for more than two thousand years.

When Confucius led his students on the road of preaching, passing through a river, he sighed, "The deceased is like a sif, who does not give up day and night." ”

We often think that Confucius may have felt that old age was coming, so he lamented that time is fleeting and his face is easy to grow old. My own ministry is not yet complete, but time is constantly passing, so how much time is left for me to preach?

Time passes like this east flowing water, day and night, it is constantly passing, never to return. Time is like a journey, and I am also a pedestrian. It can be seen that people's lives are in the vast river of history, small as a wave, feeling that the world is impermanent and changes rapidly, so we must cherish time.

Zi Yue: I have five out of ten and am determined to learn, thirty and standing, forty and not confused, fifty and knowing the destiny of heaven, sixty and obedient, seventy and from the heart, not excessive.

Confucius was determined to learn the way of the first kings, and after fifteen years of study, he finally succeeded in learning. Being able to understand the origin and context of all things is ordained by heaven. If there is no heaven and earth, there is no all things. The yin and yang of heaven and earth create all things, and the differences in all things are only caused by the difference in the region in which they are located, and it is still yin and yang at all, which means that they know the destiny of heaven and can also obey.

Would Confucius, who knew the Mandate of Heaven, focus his energy on cherishing time? Confucius stood on the river and lamented that the water was passing away, just to warn his students, to seize the time, to study well and preach well?

If this is the case, it means that Confucius's original intention is wrong.

As far as the personnel of heaven and earth are concerned, Confucius looked up at astronomy and thought of the movement of the sun and the moon, and the cultivation of all things. Day and night begin with one day and one day. Looking down on the geography, thinking of flowers blooming and falling, the four times change, that is, the past year is to go to a year.

This is still the case in heaven and earth, and those who are born between heaven and earth are no exception.

Since birth, people have gone from few to strong, from strong to old, every day, that is, to go to a day, every year after a year, that is, to go to a year old. This is true of individuals, and groups are no exception.

In the era of the Five Emperors, Chinese history no longer had three emperors, and by the Xia Shang Zhou, there were no longer five emperors. Confucius was born in the chaotic spring and autumn, and he wanted to see the grand situation of the Western Zhou, but he could not see it, and could only dream of the Zhou Gong.

From this we can see that all things in nature, in the human world, and in the universe are all deceased, and none of them are like the flowing water in the river, which does not stop day and night, and once it flows, it will not flow back.

So, did Confucius just lament that the past cannot be traced?

No, what Confucius wants to say is that a gentleman is determined, just like the Yangtze River, running east to the sea, unswerving.

The river is endless, as if the heavens and the earth have not fed all things to the poor. Cold and summer, day after month, stars and stars, everything is constantly transported out of the matrix of heaven and earth, without stopping, just like this river that is constantly flowing.

The Heavenly Dao continued to transport all things, and only then did it have a vibrant worldly state. This was true of the Heavenly Dao of the Fuxi Era, the Heavenly Dao of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors, and the Heavenly Dao of the Three Dynasties of Xia Shang, which had not changed.

Because the way of heaven is independent and does not change, it does not perish during the day. No matter how the domineering society, the royal society, and the imperial dao society evolve, the heavenly path is always where it is.

Therefore, when a gentleman makes meritorious contributions, he must uphold the spirit of unremitting self-improvement, just like the river that is constantly flowing, like the heavenly path that is healthy.

Therefore, the gentleman is self-reliant.
