Recently, GAC Honda released the year-end summary of 2021, and in 2021, GAC Honda launched a total of 3 new models and 4 remodeled models, with an annual cumulative sales of 780266 vehicles, achieving high-quality and stable development.
Under the "sedan + SUV" product matrix, Guangqi Honda's sedan matrix has accumulated sales of 348467 vehicles throughout the year, of which Fit's annual sales of 96,326 vehicles, an increase of 53.8% year-on-year; since the listing of the Accord, the order has exceeded 100,000 units, and the cumulative sales of 201301 vehicles in the whole year; and the cumulative orders for the new model model in the two weeks have exceeded 10,000 units.
The SUV matrix also performed well in 2021, with a total of 382671 cumulative sales, an increase of 5.8% year-on-year. Among them, the cumulative sales of Binzhi in the small SUV market reached 173,870 units in the whole year, an increase of 15.6% year-on-year; the cumulative sales of the Haoying brand reached 166,240 vehicles in the whole year, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year, and the sales volume of the second anniversary of the listing exceeded 300,000 vehicles; and the cumulative sales of the flagship SUV Guandao were 40,048 units in the whole year.
In addition to the "sedan + SUV", GAC Honda Odyssey also has a very bright performance in the MPV market, with annual sales of 43,366 units, an increase of 2.6% year-on-year. On December 27, 2021, Odyssey ushered in a mid-term major overhaul, the whole series is equipped with Honda's third-generation i-MMD hybrid system, and the configuration of each version of the model has also increased to a certain extent, and its own product strength has been further improved.
In terms of electrification development, GUANGQI Honda hybrid models cover four major market segments of compact cars, mid-size cars, SUVs and MPVs, with cumulative sales of 117642 units throughout the year. At the same time, GAC Honda is also developing the field of plug-in hybrid, extending the i-MMD PHEV technology on the basis of the i-MMD hybrid system, and Haoying Rui Hybrid e+ is the first GAC Honda plug-in hybrid model equipped with i-MMD PHEV technology.
At the 2021 Electric Strategy Conference, Honda released a new pure electric vehicle brand e:N, as Honda's first joint venture in China, GUANGQI Honda plans to fully introduce the e:N brand in the future, and bring its first pure electric vehicle model e:NP1 of the e:N series at the Guangzhou Auto Show, and the new car is also planned to be listed in the first half of 2022. At present, GUANGQI Honda already has two pure electric models in China, ve-1 pure electric SUV and pure electric sedan Shule (EA6) listed in 2021, and after the listing of e:NP1 in the future, it will further strengthen the competitiveness of GAC Honda in the field of pure electricity.
In addition to the models, GUANGQI Honda also introduced Honda's latest Honda CONNECT 3.0 intelligent guidance interconnection system in 2021, and successively installed them on the Accord, Lingpai, All-New Grid and Odyssey models, realizing new functions such as voice assistant, car home interconnection, mobile phone remote control and OTA online upgrade, further accelerating the intelligent process of the car. The Honda SENSING Safety SuperSensitive System has further enriched its functions by adding the new TJA traffic congestion assist technology to further reduce the driving load of users and improve driving safety.
Next, GUANGQI Honda will continue to bring the latest intelligent technology, such as the e:NP1 listed in the first half of this year will be equipped with the e:N OS full-stack intelligent control ecosystem, the Honda CONNECT 3.0 exclusive version of pure electric vehicles, Honda's latest all-round safe driver assistance system Honda SENSING 360, and the intelligent digital cockpit based on the over-the-top HMI system.
