Principal cellist Xu Peidong: Want to buy a house for your parents so that your younger siblings can take care of them?

In 2012, the famous musician Xu Peidong said to his wife: "My parents are old, I want to buy them a big house, so that my younger brothers and sisters can take care of it", but his wife Cui Jing did not agree, Xu Peidong just wanted to theorize, and his wife's next words made him moved.

In 1954, Xu Peidong was born in Dalian, Liaoning Province, to an ordinary working-class family. Because his parents were busy at work and did not have time to take care of him, Xu Peidong was sent back to his hometown in Shandong province when he was very young and cared for by his grandparents. It was not until he reached school age that he was taken back to Dalian by his parents.

After going to school, Xu Peidong began to have a special love for painting and music.

He taught himself many instruments, and later he also studied the cello.

With the help of his teacher, Xu Peidong was instructed by a cellist of the Dalian Song and Dance Troupe, xu Peidong made rapid progress, and the teacher praised him for his talent.

In 1970, the Fuzhou Military Region Cultural and Labor Corps came to Dalian to recruit literary and artistic soldiers. Xu Peidong entered the literary troupe.

With his excellent performance, Xu Peidong became the principal cellist.

Xu Peidong's talent and efforts have been recognized by the leadership.

In 1976, the leaders gave Xu Peidong the only place in the Cultural and Labor Troupe to enter the Central Conservatory of Music.

In this year, Xu Peidong entered the Composition Department of the Central Conservatory of Music.

As he was about to graduate, Xu Peidong interned at the China Opera House. Here Xu Peidong met Yang Qin player Cui Jing. Cui Jing is 7 years younger than Xu Peidong, and her parents are both teachers.

After the two met, they had a good chat. Cui Jing also often asked Xu Peidong about music, and slowly the two of them had different emotions in their hearts, but neither of them opened their mouths to show their love.

After a few months of internship period. Xu Peidong decided to return to the Fuzhou Military Region Cultural and Labor Troupe as a composer and conductor.

He thought that he and Cui Jing would not have the opportunity to say goodbye after that, but soon after returning to the cultural troupe, Xu Peidong was seconded to Beijing to write the score of the dance drama rehearsed by the opera house and serve as the chief conductor.

Cui Jing was also involved in the performance of this dance drama at that time.

After a few months of work, before leaving, Xu Peidong plucked up the courage to confess to Cui Jing. In fact, Cui Jing waited for this day for a long time. In this way, the two established a romantic relationship.

But the two were separated and could only rely on letters to communicate. The two identified each other, and even though they each had suitors, they were unmoved.

In 1981, Cui Jing performed in Dalian. Xu Peidong consulted with her and took this opportunity to get the marriage license, and Cui Jing agreed.

At that time, Xu Peidong's household registration was in Fuzhou, but because Cui Jing was too busy performing, he did not have time to go to Fuzhou and Xu Peidong to get a marriage license, and everything was ready, that is, people could not get to Fuzhou.

Moreover, Xu Peidong's family in Dalian is already preparing for their wedding.

In a hurry, Xu Peidong thought of a "bad idea", "borrowed" a woman to go with him to get the marriage license, at that time the marriage certificate did not have a photo on it.

At that time, there happened to be a colleague's newlywed wife visiting her husband in the literary troupe, and she heard about this matter, so she happily agreed to help Xu Peidong.

After getting the marriage certificate, Xu Peidong returned to Dalian and held the wedding as scheduled.

After marriage, the two lived separate lives. Although the number of times the two see each other is not much every year, the feelings of the two have never changed.

In 1984, Cui Jing became pregnant, her husband was not around, and Cui Jing was afraid that she would not be able to take care of the child alone. But Xu Peidong asked her to leave the child behind, and he would fight for the opportunity to transfer to Beijing.

In 1985, Xu Peidong was transferred to the China Opera and Dance Theatre as a composer and conductor. The couple finally no longer had to live excessively. This year their daughter was born.

Under the guidance of Xu Peidong and his wife, Xu Sing has a special love for music. And she's very talented in music.

After having a daughter, Cui Jing gave most of her time to the family, taking care of her daughter and supporting her husband's career.

Backed by his wife, Xu Peidong composed with peace of mind, he created many classic songs, and his fame became higher and higher, becoming a household composer.

Compared with her husband's vigorous career, Cui Jing feels that she is somewhat ordinary. On their wedding anniversary, Cui Jing said to Xu Peidong: "I am a housewife now, and no matter what decision you make in the future, I will not blame you."

After Xu Peidong listened, he pulled his wife and said, "You have to believe that I will stay with you until I am old."

Xu Peidong's parents live in Dalian, and when they are older, Xu Peidong wants to take the old man to Beijing to live, so that it is convenient to take care of them, but the old man only wants to stay in Dalian.

Xu Peidong's younger brother and sister do not live with their parents, and Xu Peidong wants to buy a big house for his parents so that his brother and sister can take care of the two elderly people in the past.

Xu Peidong told his wife about the idea, but she did not expect that her wife did not agree to buy a big house. Xu Peidong thought that his wife did not agree, and he just wanted to theorize. Cui Jing continued: "Let's buy two houses in the same community, it is inconvenient for two generations to live together, a set of parents live, a set of younger siblings used to live when they took care of them."

His wife's empathy and reasonableness made Xu Peidong particularly moved.

Xu Peidong's consistency makes his wife willing to pay for him, and is more willing to think from the perspective of her husband.

Now that the two have been working together for 41 years, the two understand each other and tolerate each other. The eyes of the two of them who have looked at each other for decades are still full of love.
