Meet the Dream Tree and befriend Luck
Near the park intersection, several trees were planted. A tree is divided into five or six branches, the branches are not thick, and the height is two meters to the right and right.
Because the trees are at the intersection, this park is also a place where I often go for a walk, and whenever I walk, I pass by the tree.
When I first met this tree, I didn't know it or care about it. That winter, seeing that all the leaves of this tree had fallen, I took another look, and the bare pole was very lonely. Only because there are many trees with fallen leaves in winter, there is not too much emotion. In the early spring of the following year, buds were seen on the branches, and the buds hung from the branches like small lanterns; it was interesting to appreciate their posture, as if they were children with their heads bowed, as if they were contemplating, and as if they were a little shy, in short, very different from the flowers facing the sun and holding their heads high.
This different kind of flowering has aroused my interest. It turns out that this tree not only bloomed first, but also had a unique flower posture. So, I wanted to know it.
Later, after a check, Fang knew that the tree was called Jiexiang and the flower was called Jiexianghua. And it is known that the lantern-like buds hanging on this branch can be picked, dried and soaked in water to drink, which has special functions: nourishing the yin and calming the spirit, blindness, and removal of obstacles; used for green blindness, obstacles, tears, dreams, drowsiness, and loss of sound.
Naturally, this is the mystery of TCM. The great thing about Chinese medicine is that the medicinal effects contained in nature's flowers and herbs can be applied to treat diseases and save people. In the past, many people who read books understood some Chinese medicine principles; in the past, people living in rural areas would more or less use Chinese herbal medicine to treat small hairy diseases. I remember when I was a child, I would drink soup made by my father once or twice a year from neem bark to prevent ascariasis. Unfortunately, nowadays, there are not many readers who understand Chinese medicine, and even fewer people will use flowers, flowers and herbs to treat small hairy diseases.
Ever since I saw the incense tree in the park, I have often looked elsewhere to see where else the incense tree has been planted. However, it is difficult to find and has only been seen on the edge of another trail in our city.

The real interest of the incense tree is not in its floral posture, nor in its function, but in its legend.
The incense tree has another name, called the dream tree. It is called the Dream Tree, not that the tree dreams, but that the tree has something to do with man's dreams. There are many legends about the relationship between the dream tree and the dream of man.
Legend 1 says that if a person has a dream, he will come to the dream tree and tie a knot on the branch, and there will be unexpected surprises. If you have a dream at night, the knot will make your dream come true; if you have a nightmare at night, the knot will make people get out of trouble. In short, a knot in the dream tree can help people get lucky.
Legend 2, in the western Hubei region of the mainland, when the girls there reach the age of finding a partner, they have to find a fragrant tree, tie the branches of the incense tree into knots, and then make a wish on the knot, so that they can find Ruyi Langjun. There is no introduction in the legend, and it is a little strange that the boy is looking for an object or not to find a fragrant tree.
Legend three, in the rural area of the southeast of the mainland, this fragrant flower is called "dream interpretation flower", it is said that if a person wants to know the meaning of the dream, he will go to pick the fragrant flower and put it under the pillow where he sleeps, then, once he dreams, he can unravel it; if a person often has nightmares and is accompanied by fragrant flowers, he will not have nightmares.
That day, I also picked a few fragrant flowers and went home, ready to put them on the pillow, hoping to have a good dream and make it come true!
