Ask yourself, have you done your best for your dreams?

author:Ice Sweet Honey 666

In the middle of the night, the lights of the city still flickered, they tirelessly illuminated every corner, but my heart was chaos. I sat in front of the window, looking at the points of light, my mind playing out the day's events over and over again, and time, the invisible giant, beat my heart with its heavy steps. The imaginary self is always so radiant and unhurried. However, in reality, I always seem to be chasing something, but I always lose the opportunity to move forward in the waiting again and again. Yes, wait, that's the biggest lie I made for myself. I'm always waiting, waiting for a so-called "perfect moment", but this moment never seems to come. I began to recall myself four years ago, that young boy who set off with a dream, with a fire in his heart, hot and bright. But four years, which seem fleeting, have quietly changed me. It was as if I had lost that initial enthusiasm in an instant, as if I had forgotten what I was fighting for.

In these four long years, I have jumped from one city to another, from one unfamiliar environment to another, even more unfamiliar. I asked myself, what have I gained in this migration? What have I lost? Have I forgotten my original intention? Have I lost my direction? In the dead of night, the loneliness and anxiety always hit me like a tide, leaving me with nowhere to hide. Yes, I'll admit, I'm not as strong as I once thought. The rhetoric that once threatened to hold the dream in their hands has become so pale and weak. So, what else can sustain me to keep going? Suddenly, I realized that maybe it was the beautiful hope for the future, the desire for the world, that made me still persevere. I don't want my future self to look back and be full of regrets and losses. What I want is a life full of color, the courage to get up even if I fall, and to move forward with a smile with dirt and sweat. I finally understood that waiting does not lead to change, only action can make a difference in the future.

I set out to do the things that had held me off. Read the unfinished book, finish the unfinished work, and say goodbye to those useless waits. I want to prove with my actions that I can find my place even in this complex world. Now, I stand at a new starting point, with my past experiences and perseverance. I'm going to the place I've dreamed so many times in the dead of night. I want to use my meager strength to try to change something, even if it is just a little bit, even if it is just to make my life, the life of those who care about me, a little warmer. This time, I'm no longer just a dreamer, I'm a doer. I want to make every step of my way firm and strong, and I will not give up, no matter how difficult the road ahead. I'm going to make time my most precious asset, not my worst enemy. In the future, I want to be able to look back and say to myself, "You did it." "At that time, I knew that all the struggles and efforts were worth it.
