Laurence Amelie is the daughter of the famous Swiss abstract painter Gerard Schneider. After her successful role as creative director and fashion designer at Bon Point in Paris, she inherited the family tradition of painting. Lawrence painted from an idyllic rural setting near Fontainebleau. Her father (a contemporary of Picasso) painted in a house here during the highly active Abstract Period of the mid-century.
