The phenomenon of myopia at a young age is becoming more and more pronounced, and even some children at the primary school stage develop high myopia. Young parents think that wearing glasses is an accomplice" to deepening myopia, but in fact, wearing glasses will not only not deepen myopia, but also help children in learning and life, get good corrected vision, prevent excessive eye fatigue, experts recommend medical refraction at least 2 times a year.
In general, when the degree of myopia exceeds 200 degrees, it is recommended to wear glasses throughout the day, and wearing them when taking off will make the eyes often in a state where farsightedness is not clear, which is easy to deepen myopia. If your myopia is less than 200 degrees, you can choose to wear glasses when looking far away, and remove the glasses when looking close.
Children are at the peak of physical development, and with the growth of the body, the eye axis will also be elongated to varying degrees. Therefore, after the development of children with myopia, the increase in the degree is almost inevitable. Dr. Leng Lin suggested that before the age of 3, it is recommended that parents take their children to the hospital for a systematic eye examination to rule out the possibility of various eye diseases. After the age of 3, you should go to the hospital at least once a semester to receive medical optometry, establish an electronic visual health file, and track the development of vision.
