Dongfeng Honda's first pure electric vehicle in China was listed, priced at 175,000 yuan

On the evening of April 26, Honda's first pure electric vehicle in China, Dongfeng Honda e:NS1, was officially launched, launching a total of 4 models, priced at 175,000 yuan - 218,000 yuan after subsidies.

The new car is positioned as a compact all-electric SUV, based on the e:N Architecture F pure electric architecture, and the CLTC has a range of 420 km and 510 km.

Behind the listing of Dongfeng Honda e: NS1, Japanese car companies are accelerating their catch-up in electrification transformation.

In October last year, Honda China released its electrification strategy in China, launching a new pure electric vehicle brand "e:N". On April 25, Honda held an e:N brand night online event, releasing the "e:N" brand declaration, brand slogan and product planning. Today, with the debut of the first product of the "e:N" series, e:NS1, the electrification transformation of Dongfeng Honda has accelerated again.

As Honda's first pure electric vehicle model in China, Honda claims that e:NS1 focuses on "movement", "wisdom" and "beauty" to provide driving pleasure for young consumers.

Specifically, in terms of power, e:NS1 is based on Honda's new pure electric architecture "e:N Architecture F", integrating high-power motors, high-density batteries, exclusive frames and chassis platforms for pure electric vehicles, and integrating more than 20,000 control scenario algorithms on the electronic control program, so that the driving environment can be more abundant.

In addition, the Honda EV Sound acceleration sound wave is added in sport mode, providing a more exciting and fun acceleration experience for the driver.

In terms of intelligence, the new car is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD dashboard and a 15.1-inch high-definition ultra-thin bezel central control screen, which has more than 20 functions such as AI voice assistant, car home interconnection, energy management, OTA online upgrade, etc., filling the shortcomings of the previous Honda car machine system.

In terms of driver assistance, the current sensor combination is a monocular camera + a front, medium and long-range millimeter wave radar + 4 angle radars, which support driver assistance functions such as anti-collision warning, adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, lane keeping, blind spot monitoring and so on.

In addition, the new car is also equipped with a DMC driver state perception system, which can effectively identify the driver's state and emotions through the intelligent perception camera in the car.

In terms of appearance design, the overall shape is simple and sharp, the length, width and height are 4390*1790*1560mm, the wheelbase is 2610mm, and the size is basically similar to the Dongfeng Honda XR-V.

The front face is equipped with an enclosed grille, with narrow headlights on both sides and a large illuminated car logo in the middle, which is very recognizable. From the side, the overall shape is simple but very powerful, with 18-inch aluminum alloy sports wheels, full of dynamics. The rear of the car features through-line taillights that echo front and rear. Moreover, the storage space of the whole car is as many as 18, and the space utilization rate is high.

It is worth mentioning that with the listing of new cars, Dongfeng Honda's marketing model has also changed comprehensively. For example, strengthen online and offline linkage, and provide services around the whole life cycle service scenario of consumers through global marketing such as Dongfeng Honda e-mobile Mini Program, Dongfeng Honda App and e:NS1 Space City Tour.

At present, the joint venture brands are basically using compact or mid-size SUVs as an entry point to enter the pure electric vehicle market, so the competition is also fierce. For example, the SAIC Volkswagen ID.3 (165,000 to 179,000 yuan), GAC Toyota C-HR EV (225,800 to 249,800 yuan), Changan Mazda CX-30 EV (159,800 to 201,800 yuan), and the newly launched new smart #精灵1 (190,000 to 230,000 yuan) have all formed a competitive relationship with Dongfeng Honda e:NS1 to a certain extent.
