TOP1: BYD sold 105475 units in April
According to BYD's official data, BYD sold 105475 passenger cars in April, an increase of 136.5% year-on-year, of which DM models sold 48,072 units and EV models accounted for 56,403 units.
As the only car brand to exceed 100,000 units in April, BYD's ability to achieve significant growth in the general decline of the car market has a large relationship with its rich product line.
According to the data, in April, the BYD Han family sold 13,421 vehicles, of which Han EV increased by 77.9% year-on-year. The cumulative sales of the Tang family exceeded 10,000 vehicles, of which the Tang EV increased by 263.7% year-on-year. The Song family has accumulated sales of 25,108 vehicles, of which the Song DM model increased by more than 1299.5% year-on-year. TOP2: FAW-Volkswagen sold 81,000 units in April
According to the data of the Association, FAW-Volkswagen's retail sales in April were 81,000 units, down 49.2% year-on-year, ranking behind BYD.
A closer look at the reasons for the sharp year-on-year decline of FAW-Volkswagen has a large relationship with the outbreak of the epidemic in Jilin province, which led to the suspension of work and production of FAW-Volkswagen plants.
Previously, on March 13, all five major vehicle plants in Changchun, including FAW Toyota and FAW-Volkswagen, stopped production, and on April 11, FAW Group began to resume work and production. The suspension of production for more than ten days in April also brought a lot of losses to the production capacity of FAW-Volkswagen.
TOP3: SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 76,017 vehicles in April
According to data released by SAIC Motor, SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 76,017 new cars in April, down 43.57% year-on-year.
Compared with the same group of SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC-GM and other joint venture brands, SAIC-GM-Wuling's decline in April has shrunk, mainly because saic-GM-Wuling's main production base is not in Shanghai, and the impact of the epidemic is relatively small.
However, compared with last month's 150,000 vehicles, SAIC-GM-Wuling's sales in April almost halved. According to the previous model sales structure of SAIC-GM-Wuling, the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV in April is likely to remain the main source of sales for SAIC-GM-Wuling.
TOP4: Geely Automobile sold 72,000 units in April
In April, Geely Automobile announced sales of 72,000 units, and the cumulative sales volume from January to April this year 398177 units, and the proportion of new energy continued to increase. Overseas export sales in April were 17,492 units, up 125% month-on-month.
Among them, Geely's new energy models (including Geely, Geometry, Lynk & Co, Ji Kr, Ruilan) sold 15,636 vehicles, accounting for about 22% of the total sales.
In April, Geely brand sales of 49,378 vehicles, of which 12,587 vehicles of the China Star high-end series were sold. Lynk & Co sold 10,301 vehicles, and the cumulative sales officially exceeded 700,000. The geometric brand sold 7,320 vehicles, with cumulative sales reaching 33,351 vehicles, an increase of 419% year-on-year. The cumulative number of service users officially exceeded 200,000.
TOP5: GAC Toyota sold 68,528 units in April
GAC Toyota did not directly release sales data for April, but according to the sales data released by GAC Group for the first four months, gac toyota's cumulative sales from January to April were 315534 vehicles, and since GAC Toyota's sales from January to March this year were 247006 vehicles, according to this calculation, GAC Toyota's sales in April were 68528 vehicles, down 7.27% year-on-year.
Gac Toyota's sales in April fell by nearly 30,000 units compared to last month. From the perspective of specific major model sales, the sales volume of Sai Na in April was 4642 vehicles, and the cumulative sales volume this year has exceeded 20,000 vehicles. Highlander sold 5,659 units, with a cumulative sales of 31,077 units from January to April. The Camry sold 10,650 units in April and 48,578 units from January to April.
It is worth mentioning that although camry sales fell to more than 10,000 units in April, compared with the sales of the Accord next door, in the B-class car market, the Camry is likely to remain the sales champion of the joint venture B-class car.
TOP5: Changan Automobile's own brand sold 67,048 units in April
According to Changan Automobile Group's April production and sales report, Changan Automobile's own brand passenger car sales from January to April were 426419 units, down 10.36% year-on-year. According to the results of Changan Automobile's brand passenger car sales 363283 from January to March, Changan Automobile's Sales of Chinese Brand Passenger Cars in April should be 63,136 units, and Changan's own brand cars should sell 67,048 vehicles.
Although Changan Automobile has not yet announced the sales of specific models, it can be speculated that major models such as the CS75 series, CS55 series and Yidong series are still the main sales sources of Changan Automobile.
It is worth mentioning that this year, Changan Automobile's efforts in new car launch are not small, and the scale of new cars will reach 19 models, including 9 new products and 10 models of modifications. In addition to the second-generation CS75PLUS, UNI-V and UNI-K iDD, Changan Automobile will also launch the second-generation CS55 PLUS, UNI-K, UNI-T and other models this year.

TOP11: SAIC Volkswagen sold 30,008 units in April
According to SAIC data, in April, SAIC Volkswagen's sales volume was 30,008 vehicles, down 72.29% year-on-year. Judging from this decline, SAIC Volkswagen's sales in April can almost be described as waist chopping.
The reason is that the Shanghai epidemic has caused SAIC Volkswagen's first, second, third plants and MEB new energy automobile factory in Anting, Shanghai to stop production, resulting in the loss of tens of thousands of production capacity, which is the most "fatal" reason. It is understood that SAIC Volkswagen's output in April was only 27,000 units, down 75.1% from last year.
