Volkswagen ID.Aero (which can be regarded as pure electric Maiteng) will be released and mass-produced in China within this year, and the car will have a range of up to 700 kilometers, and may be named ID.5 in the future. The online car market has learned that FAW-Volkswagen has started the trial production of the code VW413/1CN_B (that is, ID.Aero) and reserved a production capacity of 100,000 vehicles/year. From its market positioning, it is expected that the final starting price will be around 250,000 yuan.

According to the information disclosed in the previous tender announcement, the new car is larger than the current Magotan, which is expected to create a more spacious interior seating space. It is reported that the car will be put into operation at the FAW-Volkswagen Foshan plant.
In terms of power, the Volkswagen ID.Aero will be available in two versions, single and dual motors, and equipped with 77kW·h and 100kW·h battery packs, with a maximum cruising range of up to 700 kilometers, which is comparable to the endurance level of mainstream models such as BYD Han EV, Xiaopeng P7 and Tesla Model 3.
