With Geely's April sales announced on May 10, the sales of its own head brands Great Wall, Changan, BYD and Geely have been released.
According to the announcement, Geely Automobile's total sales in April 2022 were 72153, down 28.09% year-on-year, and the total sales from January to April were 3 326,024 units, down 8.23% year-on-year. For the decline in sales, Geely Automobile said that it was mainly affected by the repeated epidemics in some regions and the continuous shortage of supply chains.
Changan Automobile's sales in April were 115,739 units, down 42.78% year-on-year and 50.98% month-on-month, and the cumulative sales volume was 767,232 units, down 9.02% year-on-year. Its own brands sold 92,855 units in April, with cumulative sales of 622,231 units, down 9.63% year-on-year. Autonomous passenger car sales in April were 63,136 units; cumulative sales were 426,419 units, down 10.36% year-on-year.
Great Wall Motor sold 53,777 units in April, down 41.41% year-on-year and 46.72% month-on-month, creating a new low in sales this year. From January to April this year, Great Wall Motor's cumulative sales of 337,277 units, down 21.67% year-on-year, and the target completion rate of 1.9 million vehicles in 2022 was only 17.75%, and there is still a long way to go to successfully achieve the target.
BYD's new energy vehicle sales once again soared by 100,000+: new energy vehicle sales in April 106042, an increase of 313.23% year-on-year, an increase of 1.11% month-on-month; cumulative sales from January to April 392371 units, an increase of 387.94% year-on-year. Correspondingly, BYD's new energy vehicle production in April 107478 units, an increase of 296.38% year-on-year; the cumulative output from January to April was 395008 units, an increase of 377.44% year-on-year.
In fact, due to the constraints of the external environment in April, most car companies are in a difficult stage and have declined to varying degrees. Compared with the four major brands of Changan, Great Wall, Geely and BYD, the biggest year-on-year decline is Changan, which decreased by 42.78% year-on-year; Geely Automobile is relatively small and only falls by 28%, and BYD is completely unaffected and continues to increase significantly.
However, BYD's Changsha plant has been disturbed by "exhaust valves", and the production rhythm may be affected to a certain extent, and it is currently in the investigation stage.
Among the sales volume of Geely Automobile, Geely brand sales were 56,698 units, down 30.23% year-on-year; Lynk & Co sold 10,301 units, down 45.84% year-on-year, continuing the downturn, at present, Geely Automobile has invested in Renault Korea, and Lynk & Co may have to change the label to export to the Korean market; Ruilan sold 3,017 vehicles, 2,137 vehicles; export sales of 17,492 vehicles, an increase of 103.92% year-on-year.
Geely Automobile sold 15,636 new energy hybrid models, of which 10,929 pure electric vehicles were sold, an increase of 5.52 times year-on-year; Sales of plug-in hybrid models were 3,189 units and 1,518 gasoline-electric hybrid models.
Among BYD's sales in April, the sales of pure electric vehicles were 57,403 units, an increase of 256.24% year-on-year; the sales of plug-in hybrid models were 49,072 units, an increase of 438.92% year-on-year.
By model, BYD Han sold 13,421 vehicles, an increase of 64.13% year-on-year; Tang sales of 10,131 units, an increase of 519.25%; Song sales of 25,108 vehicles, an increase of 59.25%; Qin sales of 23,520 vehicles, an increase of 238.76%; yuan sales of 15,168 vehicles, Dolphin sales of 12,040 vehicles, destroyer 05 sales of 2,040 vehicles, the total sales of the above 6 models 101428 vehicles, accounting for 95.65% of sales.
Great Wall Motor's overseas sales in April were 7,733 units, down 14.84% year-on-year; the cumulative sales of 37,055 units in January-April, an increase of 31.84% year-on-year; the sales of new energy vehicles were 3,870 units, of which 3,088 units were sold by the Euler brand, down 58.69% year-on-year, and the sales of new energy vehicles in the same period last year were basically Euler sales; the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles from January to April were 39,273 units, and the cumulative sales of the Euler brand were 36,842 units, down 3.45% year-on-year.
In April, haval brand sales of 29,125 vehicles, down 47.06% year-on-year; January-April cumulative sales of 195881 vehicles, down 29.4% year-on-year, overall Haval brand in a state of decline; Weipai in April sales of only 3,088 vehicles, down 58.69% year-on-year, this year's cumulative sales of only 36,842 vehicles.
The tank brand sold 6,065 units, an increase of 10.27% year-on-year, and the cumulative sales volume from January to April was 31,818 units, an increase of 60.51% year-on-year. Great Wall pickup trucks sold 13,206 units, with a cumulative sales volume of 56,158 units.
Changan Automobile did not announce detailed model sales, but the sales volume of the joint venture brand was revealed. Changan Ford sold 12,018 units in April, down 21.77% year-on-year; cumulative sales of 72,305 units in January-April, down 9.35% year-on-year; Changan Mazda sold 3,531 units in April, down 68.76% year-on-year; and cumulative sales of 44,548 units in January-April, an increase of 9.67% year-on-year.
