Rural teachers' winter holiday memories| Zhang Kaidi: May my students work hard to sprout and blossom into the sun

Editor's note: "The day is not everywhere, youth comes from just now; moss flowers are as small as rice, and peonies are also learned." "This is a true portrayal of the vast majority of small-scale rural schools. In the past 2021, the reporter went from Yinan to Yuncheng, and then from Zhuanhua to Yiyuan squatting, witnessing many educators with feelings taking root in the countryside, and they are working hard to make up for the gap with glimmer and help rural children grow better. The family sits idly and the lights are amiable, which is the ideal state for the Spring Festival reunion. In small-scale rural schools in many parts of Shandong, countless rural principals and teachers are rushing to the homes of students in remote rural areas that lead to the middle of the mountain, and they want to use their precious winter vacation time to go to their children's homes and enter their children's hearts. From now on, the Qilu Evening News Qilu One-Point "Youth Talk" column will successively launch the "Winter Holiday Memories of Rural Principals/Teachers", focusing on what rural teachers see, hear and feel during home visits, light up the dreams of rural children, and inject strength into rural revitalization.

The following is Shandong Yinan County No. 1 Middle School Teacher Zhang Kaidi's Winter Holiday Notes:

Friday, February 4, 2022 Sunny

On the fourth day of the Chinese New Year, coinciding with the spring of Li, I once again embarked on the journey of home visits.

The ancients said: "The East is spring, the spring is the place where all things come from", in this season, the ice and snow melt, the grass and trees are born, although the spring is cold and steep, but the spring has quietly sprouted in the fields. After a bumpy ride, we finally reached this village at the foot of the hill. The dirt roads in the village are winding and rugged, so I parked at the head of the village and hiked through the narrow alleys. Children run in small alleys dressed in gorgeous clothes, and adults carry large bags and small boxes of gifts to visit relatives and friends. When they met, people bowed their heads to each other and said, "Happy New Year!" "Every door is plastered with Spring Festival, Chinese red is overflowing everywhere, and the air is filled with a strong smell of The Year."

This is the second time I have come to My Classmate Sun's house, so although the houses and streets in the village are similar and difficult to identify, I still find her door by memory.

This is a very neat farm yard, probably 20 years ago old house, no ingenious apartment design, no gorgeous decoration, the yard is sporadically placed with several pots of flowers and plants, the narrow yard has small houses on all sides, each door is plastered with red spring leagues and various colored window flowers. The clothesline was pulled from north to south, and several pieces of clothing worn during labor hung. Toothbrushes and shampoo were neatly placed on the well platform in the courtyard, and in the kitchen across the window, orderly condiments were faintly seen, and a bundle of fresh green onions stood still in the cement interlude. The sound of chickens and dogs barking not far away made me suddenly feel that I was hiding in a secluded taoyuan hut.

We went into the hall house, which is the place of hospitality in the countryside. The cement floor was swept clean, the sofas were neatly laid out, the coffee table was spotless, and the slightly yellowed white wall facing the door of the hall was plastered with the word "Fu" and a few hanging pictures of the god of wealth. More than a dozen awards and honorary certificates of various sizes were posted on the east wall, and according to Sun's mother, some of them had been lost during the renovation of the house. It is enough to see the hard work of Sun students on the road to study along the way.

In order to create a quiet learning environment for the children, they arranged the New Year reception in a small room facing north and south. Sun's vacation study is in this clear hall, and the computer desk in the corner is her desk. The computer has broken down, and the original narrow table is full of textbooks and homework. She got up at six o'clock every morning to study, and arranged the heavy holiday tasks according to the plan. Her homework is done with a black pen, and the red pen is corrected, serious and standardized. Accumulate the book aside, accumulate wrong questions and important knowledge points at any time. I believe that after the hard work of this holiday, her grades will definitely go to a new level.

Classmate Sun, a little girl, is diligent in her studies, but her personality is introverted, never saying much, and she really "does not hear anything out of the window with both ears, and only reads the books of the sages." However, in the final exam of the first semester of her junior year of high school, her grades declined. In the home interview, the child analyzed the reasons for the decline in grades and said that the college entrance examination was imminent, and the psychological pressure was too great. I enlightened her with Sun's mother, encouraging her to ask more questions and communicate with teachers and parents, so that I could not only solve the problems I didn't understand, but also make myself more optimistic and determined through communication and talking.

We can't be your sun, but we will try to be a navigation light to show you the way forward. With the perseverance of students, the full support of parents, and the dedicated guidance of teachers, I believe that Sun students will definitely be able to "ride the wind and climb the gold list to the top".

Winter is over, and spring can be expected. The earth is awake and full of life. Ice pan swimming fish leap, and the wind waits for Liu Fang. O my students, may you be a seed, take root in the fertile soil, strive to sprout, and blossom into the sun. May you cling to the pen of youth, on the vast earth, with hot blood, write hot poems. May everywhere you go, all the goodness come.
