In order to further improve the level of industrialization and development of peanuts in Qianshuangjing Town and enhance the peanut planting management ability of the majority of farmers, Qianshuangjing Town recently held a peanut industry development training meeting.
The training meeting invited Cao Minjian, chief peanut expert of Liaoning, professor of Shenyang Agricultural University, director of Liaoning Lufeng Peanut Research Institute, and president of the County Peanut Association, to give on-site lectures, and respectively, to impart experience to the trainees on the basic knowledge of peanut cultivation, peanut high-yield cultivation technology and the development direction of the peanut industry. More than 50 people, including former leaders of Shuangjing Town, secretaries of party branches and directors of village committees of some villages, members of the peanut industry association, heads of peanut planting cooperatives and large peanut growers, participated in the training.
At the training meeting, Mr. Cao gave a detailed lecture on the nutritional value of peanuts, the geographical advantages of Changtu, the renewal of peanut varieties, rational fertilization and the development direction of Changtu peanut industry. At the training site, the trainees listened carefully to the lectures, actively asked questions, and the experts patiently answered, and the atmosphere was warm.
The participants unanimously said that the training meeting effectively helped farmers to solve technical problems in peanut production, enhance the confidence and ability of growers to develop the peanut planting industry, and provide strong support for the development of the local peanut industry.
It is understood that the peanut planting area of the former Shuangjing Town is 12,000 mu, 14 growers of more than 100 mu, 70 growers of 50 to 100 mu, and 600 retail households below 50 mu. There is 1 professional cooperative for peanut planting, with a planting scale of 60 acres. The planting varieties are 807 and 308, which adopt the traditional single ridge planting mode, and the whole process is mechanized, and the yield per mu is between 650 jin and 700 jin.
