There is no doubt that from August 28, 2021 to the present, the days of exchange and support at Donggaozhuang Primary School are unforgettable. For me, it was a day of happiness and bitterness. Happily, there is a group of lovely children here who call me teachers every day, they are innocent, kind, and pure. The bitter thing is that when I see their home situation, their educational environment, a trace of sympathy emerges in my heart, they are like wild lilies on a cliff, beautiful and expecting to bloom.

On the 24th of December 2021, Principal Wang and I came to the home of Xiaolin, a new member of our East Primary School "Love Home", Class 3.1 Xiaolin. Dongxiao "Love Home" was led by President Wang, and there are dozens of caring volunteers and more than a dozen special children in need of help. This is my third home visit here, Xiaolin is a particularly sensible little girl, home in the countryside dozens of kilometers away, and grandma is dependent on each other. In order to facilitate schooling, Grandma took Xiaolin and rented a workers' dormitory in a factory that was about to be abandoned near the school. The dormitory has only one room, is small and has no windows.

The home visit was around 3:00 p.m., and the sun had not yet set, but her room was very dark, because there was no window, and there was no sunlight all day long. There was only one bed in the room, and Xiaolin and Grandma were crammed on top of this small bed, next to a table, a worn-out two-seat sofa, messy with clutter, leaving only a corner for Xiaolin to do her homework. In the aisle outside the room, there is a tweezer and several buckets, which are supplies for Xiaolin's grandmother's stall pancakes, which is the livelihood of the grandchildren.

In the conversation with Xiaolin's grandmother, she learned that Xiaolin's parents have been divorced for several years, and Xiaolin's father has been imprisoned for being involved in a case involving an economic dispute. At present, Xiaolin and her grandmother are dependent on each other. Grandma still has great expectations for children, and the reason why she rents a house here is precisely because she is close to the school, and at the same time, in order to let the children's learning have a relatively quiet environment.

Because of the lack of parental company, grandma and high expectations, so Xiaolin is very sensible, in this narrow home, she took the initiative to help grandma sweep the floor, wash dishes, accompany grandma to send pancakes... As a child, she had begun to take on responsibilities that little girls of the same age had not yet taken on.

Although Xiaolin was born in this kind of family, her upright and neat font and her polite attitude make it more necessary for us to help her. Although we don't have much financial ability yet, I believe that the people around us will also help these people bit by bit, so that they feel warm and cared for.

In the conversation with Xiaolin's grandmother, Principal Wang affirmed the grandmother's good intentions and praised the child's progress this semester, which made the parents very happy. At the same time, it is also pointed out that children are more introverted, and adults should pay attention to them at any time. The parents nodded in agreement and enthusiastically sent me out after the home visit.

This home visit made me feel a lot of emotions, so young children already know the importance of learning, the hardships of life make her mature prematurely, "poor children have long been home", that is really there. Surrounded by modern urban civilization, we think that others live like us, but a few people will really feel that kind of life, and this feeling is really unforgettable.

If more people pay attention to them, I think that wild lilies like Xiaolin who drive on the cliff and expect to bloom will always usher in their spring!

The biggest experience of home visits is to shorten the distance with the parents of the students, narrow the "spiritual" distance with the students, strengthen communication, and increase mutual understanding.
