Editor's note: "The day is not everywhere, youth comes from just now; moss flowers are as small as rice, and peonies are also learned." "This is a true portrayal of the vast majority of small-scale rural schools. In the past 2021, the reporter went from Yinan to Yuncheng, and then from Zhuanhua to Yiyuan squatting, witnessing many educators with feelings taking root in the countryside, and they are working hard to make up for the gap with glimmer and help rural children grow better. The family sits idly and the lights are amiable, which is the ideal state for the Spring Festival reunion. In small-scale rural schools in many parts of Shandong, countless rural principals and teachers are rushing to the homes of students in remote rural areas that lead to the middle of the mountain, and they want to use their precious winter vacation time to go to their children's homes and enter their children's hearts. From now on, the Qilu Evening News Qilu One-Point "Youth Talk" column will successively launch the "Winter Holiday Memories of Rural Principals/Teachers", focusing on what rural teachers see, hear and feel during home visits, light up the dreams of rural children, and inject strength into rural revitalization. The following is the winter holiday record of Wang Jingzeng, a teacher at Yinan County's Shore Causeway Middle School:

As Zhang Bangyong's bao bao teacher, more than a year of contact has made me have a deep relationship with students and parents, and also made me worry about every holiday.

As an art teacher, I have always felt that every student is a material that can be built. It is just the existing class teaching mode, the teacher faces many students, the teacher's teaching task is heavy, and it is difficult to enter the heart of each student. Now designating a student as the guarantee object is also in line with my carefully guided educational ideas.

Zhang Bangyong was an ordinary student in the class I taught, before which I only knew this student, but I didn't know much about other conditions, not even his performance in the art discipline, in response to this situation, I did a lot of homework at the beginning of taking over - talking to students, finding the class teacher to understand the situation, and communicating with parents. After some busy work, I also had a specific understanding of the students: Zhang Bangyong was introverted, had poor grades, was seriously bored with school, and basically had to take leave once or twice a week.

In the past year, I have found the crux of the problem, done guidance, and often reflected, so that Zhang Bangyong has made great progress. Especially in terms of personality, it turns out that Zhang Bangyong has a relatively withdrawn personality and does not like to communicate with people, so I let him clarify the importance of communicating with people through many conversations, and let him know that not only parents, many teachers are also paying attention to him, looking forward to his progress. I also communicate with other classroom teachers to ask them more attention to asking questions about Zhang Bangyong. As for me, what I do is to keep abreast of the students' bits and pieces, and to encourage and praise the good performance in a timely manner.

In the large-scale on-site meeting organized by our school just a few years ago, he not only took the initiative to sign up for the shuttlecock team, but also took the initiative to help everyone decorate the venue, which was something that he had never dared to think of before. The improvement of grades has always been expected, but this final exam is still not satisfactory. Therefore, I want to let him further correct his attitude through the winter vacation and prove his progress with the improvement of his grades.

Before this home visit, on the one hand, I made a careful analysis of Zhang Bangyong's last two achievements to find out the crux of the problem; on the other hand, according to the student's grades, I planned to make some suggestions on how to make reasonable use of the vacation and how to obtain information conducive to his own development.

Sending away the relatives and friends of the New Year, I first used the phone to communicate with the parents, and it was Zhang Bangyong who answered the phone. I hadn't seen him in weeks, I could hear what he was expecting of me, and when I said I was going to visit my home, he was excited, saying that the parents had not returned from the visit, but they invited me to come over. Zhang Bangyong's performance was absolutely unimaginable in the past, and the introverted he only agreed a year ago, never expressed his ideas, and was really pleased to see his progress.

When I arrived at the student's home, I didn't see Zhang Bangyong, and the parents said that they had picked me up at the entrance of the village, which may have been a string. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I communicated with my parents about the performance of the student holiday, and the others were good, but they still did not like to study, and they did very little homework, which was the same as I expected. After a while, Zhang Bangyong came back and saw that I was already at his house, and his eyes were still very excited, but he lacked the expression of words on the phone. I exchanged views on the results of this exam and told him that the unsatisfactory results of the past times stemmed from the lack of a good learning attitude, and put forward new expectations for him, hoping that in the new year he could correct his learning attitude and show a better Zhang Bangyong to teachers, parents, and classmates.

Another theme is to make him develop a habit of using his brain. During the Spring Festival holiday, relatives and friends from all walks of life gather together to talk about the world, we must be good at using our brains, increase our insights from their conversations, improve our personality, and set our own goals. Students and parents alike agree that they really need to form their own outlook on life as soon as possible in the face of junior high school graduation.

On the way back, I saw the smoke above the village, and I couldn't help but think of thousands of fireworks, each family is looking forward to a better development in the new year, just like we look forward to every child can make progress, and also look forward to my guaranteed Classmate Zhang Bangyong to have his own new harvest in the new year.
