In August 2021, I responded positively to the school district's call to sign up for the first exchange rotation. To tell the truth, after coming to Donggaozhuang Primary School, I felt sincere and warm when I saw the cute children on campus. Many of the children in my class come here from poor mountain villages, and it takes 40 minutes to get to school every day by school bus, and XiaoJing is one of them.

Many people say that rural children have long been in charge, this sentence I have deeply experienced from Xiaojing's body, compared to many urban children, this little girl from the countryside seems to be stable, precocious, not for anything else, only because of her own family situation, we are not allowed to be as willful as others. On the 24th of December 2021, I followed Principal Wang to Xiaojing's home for a holiday home visit, and I came into contact with this simple rural family again, which once again provoked the feelings in my heart.

Half an hour's drive from the country road, we came to the ancient and beautiful historical village - Xu Village, Nanma Street. Xiao Jing and Grandpa were waiting for us at the mouth of the hutong, and in addition to the joy of seeing us, there was also a trace of evasion in the beautiful big eyes. During the home visit, we learned more about Xiao Jing's family situation, and we learned from it that dad was hearing impaired and could not communicate with people normally. Mom's intelligence is lower than normal, she can only communicate with people simply, she just smiles sweetly at us.

Xiao Jing's family income is not much, and her father can only occasionally give people a small odd job because of his hearing impairment, earning dozens of yuan a day. The sixty-year-old grandfather is the pillar of the family, relying on working outside the home to support the family of six. Perhaps it was the growth of Xiao Jing and his brother that made the old man ignite his fighting spirit, so that although the family was so miserable, they could still face the challenges of life strongly.

But fortunately, family factors did not affect Xiao Jing, did not make her become isolated and inferior. On the contrary, she is so lively and cheerful, and she is so polite and serious, a third-grade child, the homework written is so elegant and tidy, and the homework is among the best, which makes us feel very pleased.

During the home visit, President Wang sent New Year goods to Xiaojing's family on behalf of Dongxiao's "Love Home", and also bought extracurricular books, notebooks and other school supplies for Xiaojing. Principal Wang also persuaded Xiaojing's grandparents to face life positively, suggesting that Xiaojing's father learn some technical work, learn technology, and life will be greatly improved, after all, people are still young, for the sake of two children, do their best. And our love can't be the pillar of her family, so I sincerely hope that their family's family will be better, and I hope that the next time I visit my home, their family can have a new look.

After returning from the home visit, I thought a lot, thinking about myself, thinking about others, thinking about Xiaojing's family. I think that although we are not rich, as long as we can save a little from our ordinary lives, we can add up to Xiaojing, just like the song sings, "As long as everyone gives a little love, the world will become a beautiful world..."
