I am a math teacher and class teacher at Yinan County Shore Causeway Middle School, and my name is Che Zhenlu. From joining the work to the present, working in the countryside for twenty-one years, many years of teaching life and class teacher work have made me deeply realize that in order to have better communication with students and parents, in addition to talking with students on campus and communicating with parents by phone, home visits are an important way to communicate face-to-face with students and parents. It's also something I've been passionate about doing for years.
On the ninth day of the first month of the new month, the weather is clear and sunny, and it is about to start school, thinking about the lively and cute children in the class, I have to go to see them, check their homework, and do the talks and mobilization before the start of school. So I decided to visit the children's homes again. After driving more than 60 miles, my lover and I took the child to the home of Ozawa, the first student we taught together, and because the child's grandmother was suffering from tenosynovitis, his grandfather accompanied him to get an injection, and only the child was at home alone.
We arrived at his home and saw that the child was dressed thinly, and his heart was very unhappy, so my lover quickly helped the child put on the cotton coat, and the child said excitedly: "Thank you teacher." "This child's family is somewhat special, the parents are divorced, living with grandparents, this situation has caused the child's personality to be lonely, in the face of our arrival, the child is very happy." We checked the child's homework while helping him solve problems that wouldn't. Because children lack the love of their parents, they have no spirit to do anything. Usually in school, we enlighten him from time to time to help him out of the shadow of his heart, this time we are more heartfelt to communicate with him, give him encouragement, help him enhance confidence. Through this exchange, the child's face was filled with a happy smile.
After leaving the Ozawa family, we ran to the home of the next student, Xiaoyu. Xiaoyu is an introverted child, does not like to talk, usually in school, I often talk to him, slowly Xiaoyu became more cheerful. This time, knowing that I was going to visit his home, Xiaoyu was waiting for me at the door early.
Seeing that I was coming, he happily led me into his house and said to us, "Teacher, please sit down." Then I took out the homework that I had already prepared. He had done most of his homework and I gave him praise and encouragement. Some of the question steps done by Xiaoyu are not very complete, and the handwriting is not very neat, so I corrected them one by one and taught him how to develop good habits of doing the questions.
For the new semester is coming, I and Xiaoyu together set learning goals, correct learning attitude, during this period I communicated with Xiaoyu's grandfather, he kept telling me: "Children in school all rely on you, you are more attentive than his parents."
