People's Life News implements the national education policy of cultivating students' artistic sentiments, enriching students' emotional experience, enhancing their ability to appreciate and create beauty, and stimulating students' interest in understanding traditional Chinese architectural culture, thereby enhancing cultural self-confidence. Wenjiang No. 2 Middle School Characteristic Development Center assigned the first and second grades of high school to the winter vacation architectural art appreciation and aesthetic education homework with the theme of "green bricks with tile paint, white horses stepping on new mud".

Chinese architectural art is a huge treasure house of material and cultural knowledge, which almost includes the natural changes, material production, cultural knowledge and living customs of the Chinese nation from ancient times to the present. However, in terms of its primary function, it is its practicality; in its fundamental sense, it is "people-oriented", which is suitable for and meets the needs of people's material and spiritual life. Mr. Tao Xingzhi said: "Life is education", and watching architectural art itself is a process of improving literacy. Watching the architectural art activities can allow students to truly feel the inheritance of history, culture and humanistic spirit, expand their horizons, and improve their understanding of the world, feel the pulse of the development of the times, and also let students learn to use their brains, learn to survive and live, learn to do things, promote physical and mental health, physical fitness, strong will, form a correct world outlook, outlook on life, values, and cultivate students to become talents with all-round development of morality, intellect and physical beauty.

During the winter vacation, with a serious attitude and a spirit of active inquiry, the students visited some highly distinctive local buildings nearby, admired their architectural styles, felt their architectural characteristics, experienced the beauty of architecture, and completed the aesthetic education homework with high quality. At the beginning of the school year, the school's characteristic development center received nearly 2,000 aesthetic education assignments from the first and second years of high school, and 240 excellent works were selected for display for teachers and students to enjoy.
This aesthetic education assignment is a start for wenjiang no. 2 Middle School characteristic development center to vigorously promote special elective courses, and at the same time to accumulate valuable experience for opening higher quality special courses.
