The BMW i3 is BMW's first pure electric vehicle product, producing a total of 250,000 vehicles, but this model is about to die. January 28 news, it is reported that in July this year, BMW i3 will be discontinued at the Leipzig plant in Germany, the future of the new BMW iX and the new MINI pure electric version of the model will replace the BMW i3.

However, in the domestic market, the name "i3" will continue to exist. Soon BMW Brilliance's domestic 3 Series Pure Electric Edition will become the successor, which is equipped with a 70.27 kWh ternary lithium battery and a NEDC standard cruising range of 526 km.

The new BMW iX, which was launched at last year's Guangzhou Auto Show, sold for 846,900 yuan for its xDrive 50 model. In terms of power and endurance, the new car is equipped with dual-drive motors front and rear. Among them, the xDrive 40 model has a system with a combined maximum power of 300 horsepower and a battery pack with a capacity of 70 kWh, with a cruising range of 400 km; the system of the xDrive 50 has a comprehensive maximum power of 500 hp, equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 100 kWh, and a cruising range of about 600 km.

The new MINI pure electric version model is produced in China by Beam Auto, a joint venture between Great Wall and BMW, and will be officially unveiled in 2023.
