BMW iX1 trailer for the first time exposed! It has a range of about 438km and is expected to be launched by the end of 2022

According to foreign media reports, BMW auto recently officially released a trailer for the new iX1, from which we can see some design details of the mass-produced version of the model. According to BMW, in the WLTP service test, the BMW iX1 has a range of between 257-272 miles (about 413-438km), and is scheduled to be launched after the launch of the new BMW X1.

This rendering, though a stick figure, outlines important exterior details. The first is that it will have a square "double kidney" trim panel, and the inner edge has a blue trim strip exclusive to bmw's "i" series, but this trim plate will not adopt a through-the-end styling design like the new BMW 4 Series, but more like the grille of the previous BMW i3.

On both sides of the double kidney trim panel, the headlamp outlines two hook lines, which should be the light source of the daytime running lights, and the current HEADlights of the BMW iX3 are an L-shaped light strip on the lower edge, which are significantly different. Underneath the headlights, there should be a large side air intake, which also has blue trims, and perhaps the new BMW iX1 may have an M sports suit bag optional.

In addition, in the internal WLTP service test, the BMW iX1 achieved a range of between 257 and 272 miles (about 413 to 438 km). BMW said that these achievements are not achieved in the final mass production state, and do not represent the final endurance.

BMW also mentioned that the new car will have a more responsive driving experience. Like the regular X1, the BMW iX1 is based on BMW's FAR front-drive modular platform and will be powered by the fifth-generation eDrive powertrain, while it will be equipped with higher-end digital and connected technologies, including 5G networks.

According to the plan, the BMW iX1 will be listed before the end of this year and will take over the position of the BMW i3 in the market positioning. Previously, BMW had announced that it would stop producing the BMW i3 in July this year, and this model was launched for nine years and sold about 250,000 units worldwide.
