In this year's pure electric model plan, another new car after iX, i4, and i3 is about to debut, it is BMW iX1, which has officially announced its trailer.
Although the IX1 trailer officially released by BMW this time is only a partial outline composed of simple lines, we can still find some features and details in its styling design. For example, its overall design is close to the new X1, the shape is square, although the interior of the double kidney grille has added blue elements, highlighting the pure electrical identity, but it has not increased the grid size like the i4, and the front face shape may be closer to the BMW i3.
At present, BMW's pure electric SUV array, the lower edge of the headlight of the iX3 is modified by the L-shaped daylight strip, while the iX1's daily running lamp shape is significantly different, which is the two curved hook lines inside the headlight group. Considering that the BMW iX1 has two huge deflector grooves on both sides of the lower edge of the front face in the trailer, it is likely that the M sports kit version will be available.
In terms of interior, bmw officials have not disclosed any information at present, but according to several new trams listed and exposed by BMW before, it is likely to be equipped with iDrive 8 car machine system, and at the same time use dual screen design instrument + central control screen.
In addition to the teasers, BMW officials also briefly revealed some information about the iX1's performance. For example, under the working conditions of WLTP, its internal test score reached 257-272 miles of endurance data, which was converted into the number of kilometers familiar to domestic consumers, which was about 413 to 438km. BMW said that this data is not final data, and there may be some discrepancies in the future official mass production version.
BMW also mentioned that the iX1 will have an excellent handling experience like other BMW electric vehicles, thanks to the development of the FAR front-drive platform together with the new BMW X1, and on the other hand, the power performance of the fifth-generation eDrive electric drive system used in BMW's current electric products.
According to the plan, the BMW iX1 will be launched at the pace of the launch of the new BMW X1, around the end of the year.
