In terms of appearance, the new car will continue the design language adopted by BMW in the XM concept car, including the angled headlights and the increased size of the double kidney net, but considering the X1's "volume" attribute, it is estimated that the overall design of the new car will be more conservative to adapt to the aesthetics of most people. According to the exterior design of the current iX3, it is expected that the new car will also use a closed mesh and blue decorative strips. In addition, in terms of body width and height, the new car is expected to be further improved.

In terms of interior, the curved double screen and iDrive8 machine on BMW's new generation model are not expected to be absent from the new car. In addition, the physical buttons on the center console of the new car will be further reduced. The navigation system has upgraded the high-precision map, in addition to more accurately estimating the arrival time of the destination, but also adding information such as attractions and destination parking spaces, charging facilities, etc. Due to different network operation providers, it is still unclear whether these functions will appear on domestic models.

In terms of power, the new car will provide front-drive single-motor and four-wheel drive dual-motor models, of which the former or named eDrive20, may have a power level of 147kW (200 horsepower), the latter or named eDrive30, the maximum power may be close to 221kW (300 horsepower) level, the mileage information is still insufficient. In addition, until the official launch of the "Die Neue Klasse" model in 2025, BMW will not equip this electric vehicle with an 800V fast charging system. According to insiders, the first iX1 models may roll off the production line in November this year, and as early as last April, the BMW Group's factories in Leipzig and Regensburg have already started production of battery packs.
