Recently, the BBA has released the first quarter of global financial report data. After the comparison, it is not difficult to find that the book data of revenue and net profit of each brand have shown different degrees of increase over the same period last year, but in terms of sales, there has been a sharp year-on-year decline, especially in the Chinese market, the decline rate is beyond the global average.

Specifically, in the first quarter, the BMW Group achieved revenue of 31.142 billion euros, an increase of 14.3% year-on-year, and net profit of 10.185 billion euros, an increase of 259.5% year-on-year. Among them, due to the BMW Group's absolute control of BMW Brilliance, BMW's book data has increased significantly. According to the BMW Group, BMW Brilliance contributed 3.287 billion euros in revenue to the Group.
For Audi, which was incorporated into Bentley For the first time in this quarterly statement, revenue and net profit reached 14.282 billion euros and 3.468 billion euros respectively, an increase of 2% and 147% over the same period last year. Among them, Bentley Automobile contributed 813 million euros in revenue and 170 million euros in net profit. At the same time, thanks to the valuation effect of hedging raw materials such as nickel and aluminum, Audi also generated a profit of 1.2 billion euros.
For Mercedes-Benz, due to the continuous adjustment of its internal structure, coupled with the sale of its own retail business in Canada and part of the Grand Prix, it generated a revenue of 918 million euros for its first quarter report, achieving total revenue of 34.848 billion euros and net profit of 3.59 billion euros.
In terms of sales volume, although BBA showed the same downward trend as the overall automotive industry due to the shortage of semiconductor supply and the restrictions of the epidemic, BBA achieved a significant increase in electrification. In the first quarter, BMW sold 89,669 electric vehicles, up 28% year-on-year, and pure electric vehicle sales doubled to 35,289 units; Mercedes-Benz sales increased by 19% year-on-year to 74,000 units; and Audi pure electric sales increased by 66.2% year-on-year to 24,236 units.
Chiptzer, chairman of the BMW Group, said: "This year, we already have 8 electric models on the road, and many more are ready. Including pre-production vehicles, 15 electric models will be produced this year, which will allow us to get the pure electric option in around 90% of the market segment. ”
Mercedes-Benz also plans to transform its business by expanding its luxury car business, expanding electric vehicle production and accelerating software development. Audi expects to deliver 1.8 million to 1.9 million vehicles this year, generate revenues of 62 billion to 65 billion euros, and the return on sales operations is expected to decline by 9% to 11%.
