The online car market recently learned from relevant channels that Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola K llenius said at the Financial Times Future Automotive Summit: "We will have more discussions next week, and becoming a competitor to mass producers is not our goal." Nor is this what the Mercedes-Benz brand stands for. At the same time, K llenius also said again: "Our brand goal is to look up, not look down." This also means that the Mercedes-Benz brand will focus more on the development and production of high-end models in the future.

Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola K llenius, while not revealing which entry-level models may be eliminated, its A model is still at the bottom of the entire product line and has been withdrawn from the US and Canadian markets. With the continuous impact of external factors, the sales of its Mercedes-Benz A-class models have also ushered in a slight decline, but its market sales are also significantly higher than the brand's GLA compact SUV models.
At the same time, Mercedes-Benz officials also revealed earlier: "After careful consideration, MBUSA will no longer offer V177 A-class (A220W/A220W4) sedans in the United States after the current model year (MY22). While A-Class has been well received by customers since its launch in 2019, this decision is consistent with our ongoing efforts to streamline our product offering strategy. The GLA SUV will replace the A-Class's product location as an entry point for the MBUSA product range. At the same time, this also indicates that the brand's A-class models may be the first to be discontinued in the future.
