"Our children always say that they can't see clearly, is this myopia?"

Analyze by looking at the state of objects near and far, and make simple distinctions.

Myopia: Generally, the vision of the near place is normal, mainly manifested in the loss of vision when looking at the distance, resulting in unclear viewing of distant objects.

Farsightedness: It is not clear when looking at the distance and the near place, and it is more serious when looking at the near place.

Astigmatism: looking at distant and near objects are not clear, there will be an aperture around when looking at objects that reflect light in the distance, and in severe cases, there will be ghosting or visual deformation, and there is often a squinting habit;

Overregulation: due to the continuous contraction and spasm of the ciliary muscle caused by excessive use of the eye, the thickness of the lens increases, resulting in blurred vision, and symptoms may be relieved after rest.

So what exactly is myopia? How can we prevent it?

1. Definitions

Myopia refers to the state in which the directional light emitted from infinity is adjusted to pass through the refractive system of the eye and then focus in front of the retina. Generally due to the corneal curvature is too steep or the eye axis is too long, the continuous growth of the eye axis will also make the degree continue to develop, and both are irreversible.

2. Factors of myopia occurrence and development

At present, scientists generally believe that the occurrence and development of myopia are determined by genetic factors and environmental factors.

Associated with the birth season, children born in summer are more likely to be myopic than children born in winter;
