In the late 1970s, at the covert instructions of the Soviets, Vietnam invaded the southern border areas of the mainland. After repeated severe warnings without success, the Chinese People's Liberation Army immediately dispatched and completed the relevant combat tasks and withdrew to the motherland in just twenty-eight days. In the process, all the infrastructure in northern Vietnam was destroyed.
What people did not expect was that in the absence of any desire for war by our army, Vietnam still harassed the border area without mercy. To this end, the mainland has specially arranged for soldiers from various military regions to take turns to garrison the Sino-Vietnamese border and regard this area as the best training place. And ding Xiaobing, a new scout, became a famous heroic warrior in the whole army here.
Joined the Scout Company
Ding Xiaobing was born in September 1965 in Hefei, Anhui Province. When he went to defend the Sino-Vietnamese border with his opposing troops, Ding Xiaobing was not only 19 years old, but also only one year old. But even so, Ding Xiaobing's determination to participate in the war still shocked everyone. Especially when selecting scouts, Ding Xiaobing was very active.
You must know that in that era, the dangers faced by scout soldiers were by no means unimaginable to ordinary people. Especially in the era when information was not available, many pre-war information even required scout soldiers to risk their lives to obtain. Ke Ming knew the danger he was about to face, but Ding Xiaobing did not have the slightest fear.
Originally, according to the custom, Ding Xiaobing's years of service did not meet the requirements for participating in the war, but under his constant soft and hard bubbles, the leader finally made an exception and allowed him to go to the front line. Before leaving, he told his comrades-in-arms that he would return to the front line this time. In fact, in the hearts of many comrades-in-arms at that time, they did not have the luxury of asking him what kind of military achievements he really achieved, but only hoped that he would return safely.

In October 1984, Ding Xiaobing and his comrades-in-arms participated in the task of reconnaissance and capture of prisoners, but just as the mission was completed, they encountered an extremely fierce attack from the enemy. During the battle, his comrades were unfortunately killed, and his right arm was also directly blown off by the grenade, and the blood flowed wildly, and only a little skin connected the arms together. In order to alleviate the pain of drilling his heart when the broken arm was shaking, Ding Xiaobing decisively cut off his right hand with a dagger. Fortunately, in the end, the enemy did not dare to pursue deeply, and Ding Xiaobing finally successfully escaped back to the garrison.
After this, although he was saved by the hospital, he was bent on bringing back his right arm to be reconnected, but he was never able to connect it again. Fortunately, because of this operation, Ding Xiaobing was awarded the first class of battle merits and won the 101st gold medal of "National Outstanding Frontier Sons and Daughters" specially added by the state. For the bold words before the expedition, Ding Xiaobing turned them into reality with actions.
In the following 30 years, Ding Xiaobing has always insisted on shooting guns and bombs left and right, eating and writing with his left hand, and setting a model for the whole army. Today, Ding Xiaobing, who has become the political commissar and one-armed major general of the Guangxi Armed Police Corps, is a well-known soldier who enjoys the privilege of "left-handed salute".
