However, time will smooth out this already meager hope, and after sinking into the sea again and again, after no news, the couple began to fall into a desperate situation. During that time, Zhang Xuexia was like a headless fly, no matter who told her, where it was possible to find her son, even if it was thousands of miles apart, she would not hesitate to step on the train and go to that place, dozens of hours of trekking and wading in the end was a disappointed return.

In the past, a trafficker once said in an interview with the media after his arrest: In fact, we also know that the biggest victims are often not children, and we usually look for families with good conditions to shoot. Such words are the most realistic, for children who have never lived in the world, it may just be a change of environment to live, young people may forget everything when they were young after a year or two, but for their original parents, this pain cannot be erased for a lifetime.

In the movie "Dear" released in 2014, there is such a couple, after the loss of their son, although the husband and wife are very young, they have never thought of having another child, and there is a line that goes like this: If there is a new child, it is a betrayal of the son. This feeling is empathetic for Zhang Xuexia, because as a mother, her feelings for her son are actually more violent than anyone else.1

Over the years, Zhang Xuexia's footprints have spread all over Fujian, Guangdong, Guizhou, Sichuan, Henan, Hebei, etc., and Zhang Xuexia, who has searched almost the whole of China, has also almost exhausted all the family's savings. Huge economic pressure and long-term mental torture are also the internal reasons for her husband Song Huainan's choice to jump off the building, plus in the process of searching, Song Huainan often has conflicts because of disputes with outsiders, and in these years, Song Huainan's body is always injured. Zhang Xuexia watched her dear husband change from a spirited youth to an emotionally sensitive old man, and tears would quietly wet the pillow in the dead of night. In fact, this is also a common problem faced by abducted families.

The first is that families who have lost their children, especially parents, have to endure enormous, unbearable mental torture, and for them, the guilt of not taking care of their children often leads them to blame for the loss of their children. Secondly, the difficulty of finding children, in the 1980s and 1990s, the population flow density was large, especially before the real-name system was implemented, and the escape range of traffickers was very large.

After the child is abducted, he may be taken to another province after a day or two, which makes it extremely difficult for the police and the original family to find. Third, finding children often requires huge energy and savings, which is a big problem for any family, and parents who have lost their children may quit their original jobs to devote themselves to the search in order to have time, which also means that the family's economic income is cut off. Unable to make ends meet, gradually many families had to bear huge debts and eventually lost in the face of reality.

Zhang Xuexia did not have a way to go to the black, after the death of her husband, she understood that she could not be as directionless as before, and only on her own to find, she must rely on the strength of the whole society to have the hope of finding her son. So she began to learn how to go online, and on the Internet began her search for children again. By adding various anti-abduction forums, she joined new groups across the country, posting photos of her son, characteristics and other information in them.

Internet family search, as a new type of family search method relying on the rapid development of the Internet, with fast transmission speed and large range, is becoming the mainstream way. Under the vigorous construction of the Ministry of Public Security's Anti-Abduction Office, the cases of the mainland helping abducted families find their children through the Internet searching for relatives are also rising year by year, and it is in this context that Zhang Xuexia has always been firm in her belief that she can find her son one day.

In 2016, the 25th year of Song Yanzhi's abduction, he found his biological mother, Zhang Xuexia. However, they should have known each other several times.

At that time, Zhang Xuexia's story of 25 years of searching for relatives had been reported by the media many times. So Song Yanzhi had already added Zhang Xuexia's QQ number four years ago, but in the communication with Zhang Xuexia, when Zhang Xuexia asked him if there was a mole on his left arm, he looked at his left arm and did not find a mole, so both of them regrettably thought it was not. However, when Zhang Xuexia's story was once again pushed on the hot search in 16 years, Song Yanzhi still felt that he might really have a connection with this woman, so he contacted Zhang Xuexia again and asked her to provide a little more characteristic information.

Zhang Xuexia then told him that his son had a birthmark on his ass, and Song Yanzhi said that he also had one and sent it to you to see. When she saw that photo, Zhang Xuexia couldn't help but cry out, it was this birthmark. She then suppressed her emotions and she wanted an answer that was completely certain! Zhang Xuexia asked Song Yanzhi to come to Guizhou for a DNA test, and Song Yanzhi agreed. This time, both people felt in their hearts that they could not be wrong! Subsequent results proved that Song Yanzhi was Zhang Xuexia's biological son who had been looking for 25 years. When the staff of the Public Security Bureau informed Zhang Xuexia, this mother who had worked hard all at once fell to her knees on the ground, and all the heartache and grievances of the past 25 years broke out at this moment, and Song Yanzhi next to her hurriedly supported her mother, and the two hugged each other tightly, this moment, it was too long and too long!

Zhang Xuexia finally fulfilled her husband's last wish and took Song Yanzhi to Song Huainan's tomb. Her ending was good, and she finally returned from her son in 25 years, and the biggest wish of her life was also fulfilled. But across the country, there may be many families who have been searching for more years and have not yet found their children. We still have a long way to go to fight abduction and search for relatives.

The State Council issued the "China Plan against Human Trafficking 2021-2030" in 2021, which provides detailed guidance on the overall goals and specific measures to combat human trafficking, which shows that the mainland has never slackened its efforts to crack down on human trafficking, and a strong country, a political party serving the people, and a harmonious and civilized society will not allow any acts related to human trafficking to go unpunished.

We believe that one day in the near future, we will see every child growing happily in their own family, and every pair of parents has given their children the best love. Because, in this world, there will never be any more trafficking!
