On January 1st and 2nd, the 5th Shanghai Student Drama Carnival was held at the Yangtze River Theater. 31 teams from many primary and secondary schools in the city presented a classic play with diverse styles and exquisite interpretations.
The event was hosted by the Shanghai Institute of Liberal Arts Education in Primary and Secondary Schools and the Science and Technology Innovation Education Cooperative of the China Education Association. Zhou Guozheng, director of the Shanghai Institute of Liberal Arts Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, Xu Qing, secretary, and Liu Lan, deputy director, attended the event and presented awards.
On stage, the young actors recreated these wonderful stories with superb acting skills, in addition to the familiar classics "Snow White", "The Merchant of Venice", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and so on.
This year, the children also brought creative plays such as "Little Hero Rain Coming", "Accidental Visitor", "Dictionary Father-in-Law's Quarrel" and so on.

It is understood that the Shanghai Student Drama Carnival has been successfully held for five years.
The "Shanghai Student Drama Carnival" aims to improve students' comprehensive use of English and their ability to express themselves in drama art, while expanding children's artistic horizons, cultivating team spirit, creating a healthy and upward campus cultural environment, and encouraging students to learn lively, grow up healthily and happily.

Shao Jie said that in the school's one-year drama course, the first semester is mainly based on the practice of basic fragments, and the second semester will be rehearsed for the exhibition.
