Eldon's Ring of Law is a perfect continuation of the nightmarishly bizarre feel in Fromsoftware's previous works. In this mysterious world, there is no shortage of strange creatures and fables of gods and gods. Coincidentally, these qualities are very similar to the world that Lewis Carroll created in Alice in Wonderland. Alice's story must be familiar to everyone, the British girl fell into a long dream, and met a group of strange characters in a hostile world.
The narratives in Fromsoftware's work have always been minimalist, embellished with a large number of symbols, so that each player has their own room for interpretation. I felt that the process of "falling into a wandering soul" in Dark Souls symbolized coexistence with depression, and some critics believed that the bleak and disintegrating world in the game was an allusion to the difficult life under the pressure of capitalism. In terms of "rich meaning", "Alice in Wonderland" and the sequel "Alice in Wonderland 2: Adventures in the Mirror" are not far behind. If we had to talk about why both Eldon's Circle and Alice in Wonderland effectively touched on certain social norms, the rest of the article would have to be filled. I still want to see Alice's story through the lens of "Junction Land" than this.
