In my opinion, a baby within one year of age is the most difficult stage to carry, and when the baby is over the age of one, it will get better and better to carry.
My daughter had just been born small, soft, and, like any other newborn, looked very weak. The child's father did not dare to hold her at first, because she looked too weak and petite, the tall and burly husband was afraid of "hugging" the child, the child cried, he was helpless and did not dare to hold the baby, making me cry and laugh.
On my last night in the hospital, I advocated that I take care of the baby myself, because after all, there was no one to help us when I got home.
My husband was particularly nervous, and when the child cried and I hugged it and coaxed it, my husband was in a hurry next to him, afraid that I would not be able to hold it well.
I saw that his nervous look was angry and ridiculous, a new father and mother, always have to learn to take care of their children, always can not only rely on the sister-in-law, in practice to explore and learn to make progress, in order to assume the responsibility of parenthood.
The baby within 1 year old is the most tiring stage, but the sense of achievement of the novice mother is also very large, because the baby's progress is also very fast, it can be said that one day is the same, although taking care of the baby is tired, but the sense of achievement is full.
Babies within 1 year old are relatively more tiring, after all, the baby has just come to this world, everything is still in the adaptation stage, and mothers should pay more attention to the following aspects.
1. After the baby finishes drinking the milk, remember to burp the baby.
I remember that before I became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, I went to celebrate my cousin's son's 100th birthday, and the little guy lay on the bed and spat out milk, almost spitting out all the milk he had just drunk, but it scared me.
I quickly called my cousin over, and my cousin told me that she had forgotten to burp my baby after feeding.
Since then, I have learned that the various organs of newborns are not yet mature, and after the baby has drunk milk, the air in the baby's stomach should be emptied by burping, so as to reduce the number and extent of spitting up.
In general, the baby's spitting up after half a year old will be greatly alleviated, and slowly there will be no need to burp again.
There are 3 ways to burp in general: vertical hugging, sitting and prone.
After my daughter was born, I mainly used the vertical hugging style to burp her, of course, this is also the way I used after I consulted my sister-in-law in the hospital.
Vertical hiccup is to hold the baby upright after feeding, so that the baby's head is resting on the shoulder of the adult, one hand holds the baby, and the other hand gently pats the baby's back until the baby burps out the air in the stomach.
One thing I want to emphasize is that the baby's neck is still relatively soft in the first few months, and when burping the baby, we must pay attention to protecting the baby's neck and head, and support the baby's neck with hands or shoulders to avoid harm to the baby.
After burping your baby to expel some of the air in your stomach, the baby's spitting up will be greatly alleviated.
2. When the baby is lying down, let the baby sleep on his side, not on his back.
This is also for security reasons.
Although hiccups for your baby greatly slow down the likelihood and severity of your baby's spitting, you can't completely prevent your baby from spitting up.
If the baby is lying on his back, the baby is easy to be choked when spitting up, and the way of lying on the side, even if the baby spits up, the milk will flow down the corner of the mouth, and the baby is not easy to be choked by the milk.
Therefore, the baby can lie on the bed in a left and right rotation to avoid choking when spitting up.
The mother remembers to burp the baby after feeding, and after the hiccup, let the baby lie on his side on the bed.
3, do not let the baby leave the adult's sight.
The baby within the age of one year is too delicate, do not let the baby leave the adult's sight for a moment, even if the baby is asleep, the adult should pay attention to observe the child at any time.
I've heard of a real event before. Grandma washed clothes on the balcony, the 5-month-old baby slept on his own in bed, a quilt accidentally covered the baby's face, the result was that the baby suffocated, the grandmother did not know, until more than 1 hour passed, the grandmother went to the bedroom to check the situation of the grandson, only to find that the child has no breath.
After being sent to the hospital, the child was not rescued.
Therefore, the baby within the age of one year is delicate and hardly has any ability to save itself, so it is important not to let the baby leave the adult's sight and ensure the safety of the baby.
4. Before drinking milk, try to change the baby's diapers as much as possible.
Because even if you burp your baby after drinking milk, you can't guarantee that your baby won't spit up at all. Therefore, try to change the diaper to the baby before drinking milk, so as not to change the baby's diaper immediately after drinking the milk, and the baby moves, which can easily cause the baby to spit milk.
If you encounter a situation where the baby must change the diaper after drinking milk, remember to put the baby's upper body higher, which has a certain effect on preventing the baby from spitting up.
5. Learn to correctly judge the baby's cold and warm.
For small babies, it is not accurate to judge the warmth and coldness of the baby by touching their hands and feet. For small babies, because of their own development, the cold and warm of the hands and feet can not convey the real cold and warm information, parents should touch the baby's back and back neck with their hands to feel whether the child is hot or cold.
Some parents touch the child's small hands are cooler, and begin to add clothes to the baby, in fact, the baby may not be cold at this time, to touch the back of the baby's neck or back to see if the baby is really cold.
For small babies, cold or hot will make the baby uncomfortable, do not blindly fear that the baby will be frozen, but to let the baby wear moderate thickness, not lukewarm to protect the baby's health.
6, the baby has a pillow bald parents do not have to panic.
My daughter is 3 to 6 months of this stage of the pillow baldness, that is, the back of the head and the pillow contact place appears hair loss, there is a circle of baldness phenomenon, because the baby is always lying, and 3 to 6 months of children have begun to lively and active, the back of the head and pillow constantly rubbing, there is a circle of hair loss phenomenon, is pillow baldness.
For this reason, I consulted a doctor, who told me that if the child has no other symptoms of calcium deficiency, it is simply occipital baldness, and as the child grows up, it will soon be better.
Calcium deficiency in children can lead to occipital baldness, but occipital baldness is not necessarily related to calcium deficiency, and my daughter obviously belongs to the latter.
After about half a year old, the phenomenon of daughter's pillow baldness will be better on its own.
Therefore, parents find that the child's pillow baldness phenomenon do not panic, find out the cause, if it is not a lack of calcium, slowly the child's hair will be normal.
7. Prevent your baby from farting red.
Baby skin is delicate and easy to get diaper rash, so pay more attention to the baby's small ass care.
The easiest way to prevent diaper rash is to change the diaper frequently and not let the and urine fall into the baby's little ass.
There is also the baby to use warm water to wash the baby's ass after pulling the soup, wipe the baby clean after washing, apply hip cream, and keep the baby's little fart clean and dry.
After my daughter defecated, I used to use a wet and dry towel dipped in warm water to clean her up, and then clean her little ass after cleaning, and then use a dry wet and dry towel to wipe her clean, apply hip cream, and change the diaper frequently, my daughter has never had a red ass phenomenon.
8. It is normal for the baby to eat his hands within one year of age, so don't forcibly stop it.
Babies have limited mobility, they often explore the world through their mouths, and sucking their fingers is a way for babies to explore the world and a way for babies to comfort themselves.
0 to 1 year old baby is in the oral period, like everything into the mouth, sucking fingers is also a normal phenomenon of the oral period, as the child grows up, the baby's attention will naturally shift, therefore, parents do not have to worry about the baby's eating hands within the age of one year.
As long as the baby's small hands are clean, do not interfere too much, so that the baby can safely and healthily pass the oral period, which is good for the baby's growth.
The above points are some of my personal experience in the baby's one-year-old parenting, although the baby within the first year is very tired, parents will feel very hard, but the baby at this stage is also particularly cute, because they are not very angry with the parents, there is no small personality, belongs to the particularly cute, special well-behaved stage, parents should cherish this time, and so the baby reaches the "terrible two" that is, the "terrible two-year-old" stage, parents are facing another more difficult task.
