Passing by the building of tan hualin contemporary art center, this building seems to be the most magnificent old building of tan hualin. Sanyi Village is a residential area that still retains its "original ecology", crowded with some residential buildings built in the last century, which is very dilapidated compared to the "remodeled" Houtan Hualin neighborhood next to it. There are also some cars parked in the narrow passageway, and some Aborigines are talking about home. I heard a middle-aged woman say the authentic Wuhan mantra "a bitch" (Yi Zhongtian once explained that this sentence is not a curse word, but a blurted out between very close acquaintances), and it felt a little kind. Xian Bing said that the building here is the "squeeze building of life" that Zhengxiang said. I think that in the next few years, as long as the Wuchang District Government has money, it will tear down this area and rebuild it. We crossed Sanyi Village, climbed the hill, and arrived at Fuli Village, which was next to the barbecue restaurant we had just stopped at the top of Tan HuaLin, just behind the barbecue shop. At this time, Zhengxiang called to visit the New Year, and we said that we had just talked about the "squeeze buildings of life" that you proposed, and Zhengxiang said to me that these buildings are "real buildings" and that the buildings after Tan Hualin's transformation are "fake buildings". Then, we crossed Sanyi Village, returned to Tan Hua Lam Neighborhood, and left Tan Hua Lam Road.
Visiting Tan Hualin today, the biggest feeling is that the "contrast between the old and the new" is strong. The architecture of the old town of Wuhan is at a historical node of the replacement of the old and the new as a whole. Some old neighborhoods with historical and cultural heritage are undergoing "upgrading" transformation, retaining some excellent old buildings, integrating them into tourism, cultural and leisure resorts or style streets, and cooperating with the construction of a number of new buildings with "cultural taste". The other part is the aboriginal neighborhood around the historical and cultural old block, most of which are residential buildings built in the 1950s and 1990s, and their dilapidated appearance is a true portrayal of history, and they face the fate of being demolished in the torrent of the transformation of the old city.
