What is the "Five Heroes of Wolf Tooth Mountain"
The "Five Heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain" is well-known in our country, referring to the five people in the Wolf's Tooth Mountain area who heroically resisted the Japanese invaders and finally jumped off the cliff mingzhi, Including Ma Baoyu, Ge Zhenlin, Song Xueyi, Hu Delin, and Hu Fucai. As a heroic model emerging in the War of Resistance Against Japan, his glorious deeds have not only been recorded in the annals of history, but also written into primary school language textbooks, passed down from generation to generation and admired by future generations!
Historical background
The heroic feat occurred in 1941, and those familiar with modern history know that 1941 was the most difficult year of the War of Resistance.
According to the "People's Daily", because the Japanese army was severely damaged by the "Hundred Regiments War," it turned to adjusting its strategy of invading China, shifting its focus from the frontal battlefield to the battlefield behind the enemy lines, and carrying out the "Three Lights Policy" sweep! On July 9, 1941, under the orders of Ningji Okamura, the commander-in-chief of the invasion of China, the Japanese north China side gathered more than 60,000 Japanese troops, and more than 10,000 puppet troops attacked the Jin-Cha-Ji base area, and adopted the method of "iron wall encirclement" to sweep wildly. The situation in North China has taken a sharp turn for the worse!

On September 24, 1941, 3,500 Japanese troops attacked the Wolfa Mountain area, in order to cover the retreat of the masses, five soldiers ma Baoyu, Ge Zhenlin, Song Xueyi, Hu Delin, and Hu Fucai, five soldiers of the 7th Company and 6Th squad of the 1st Regiment of the First Division of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region, resolutely undertook the task of breaking the post, they relied on the favorable terrain, while fighting and retreating, they led the Japanese army to the Wolfa Mountain, relying on the mountain danger, killing more than fifty enemy people, successfully dragging the main force of the Japanese army, at dawn on September 25, five people ran out of ammunition, inevitably fell into the hands of the enemy, and the five sang a military song. Turn around and jump off a cliff!
After the incident came out, ma Baoyu's five people were respected by the people as the "Five Heroes of Wolf Tooth Mountain"!

Many people think that all the five heroes sacrificed after jumping off the cliff, but in fact, there is no invincible road, and Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi, among the five people, did not sacrifice because they were stopped by trees on the mountainside, and returned to the army after their injuries improved.
It is precisely because of the "thrilling survival" of the two that the feats of the five heroes can be known to everyone and have not been annihilated in the long river of history!
In May 1942, the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region achieved a major victory in the anti-sweeping campaign, and at the commendation meeting, the three martyrs who sacrificed their lives were awarded the title of "Exemplary Honorary Soldiers", Hu Delin and Hu Fucai were posthumously recognized as members of the Communist Party of China; Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi, who survived, were notified and commended and awarded the medal of "Brave and Tenacious".
After recovering from his injuries, Ge Zhenlin continued to return to the revolutionary cause, and he was represented in the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and he made many achievements in battle. After returning from the Korean battlefield, he successively served as deputy director of the Logistics Department of the Hunan Provincial Guard Regiment, deputy commander of the Hunan Provincial Public Security Brigade, deputy director of the Hengyang Municipal People's Armed Forces Department, and deputy director of the Logistics Department of the Hengyang Garrison District.
At 23:10 on March 21, 2005, Ge Zhenlin died of illness in Hengyang at the age of 88.
Song Xueyi, due to his strong strength, could no longer go to the battlefield, and could only transfer to the village of Guantou in The North of Yi County, serving as the chairman of the peasant association and marrying Li Guirong.
In 1947, Song Xueyi and his family returned to his hometown of Beikong Village, Qinyang, and successively served as a member of the party committee of the county and commune and the secretary of the party branch of Beikong Village. Song Xueyi is a low-key person, and in the more than twenty years since he returned to his hometown, he has never mentioned his heroic deeds to others, so that many people do not know that their secretary is one of the famous "Five Heroes of Wolf Tooth Mountain"!
On June 26, 1971, Song Xueyi died of illness!
From this point of view, the two surviving five heroes still have a very good ending, Ge Zhenlin continues the revolutionary cause, Song Xueyi returns to his hometown, and the two contribute to the motherland in different ways!
