Baoding, 23 Feb (Xinhua) -- In order to inherit the revolutionary spirit of Jin-Cha-Ji and carry forward the red culture of Jin-Cha-Ji, on the 23rd, the exhibition of the 85th anniversary of the founding of Jin-Cha-Ji Daily and the 110th anniversary of Deng Tuo's birth was held in Baoding, Hebei Province. Deng Xiaolan, daughter of Deng Tuo, and other descendants of revolutionaries from the Jin-Cha-Ji Daily came to the scene of the event.

Malan Village, Fuping County, Baoding City, is the site of the former site of the Jin-Cha-Ji Daily Newspaper during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. In 1937, Deng Tuo went to the Jin-Cha-Ji Border Region to serve as the president and editor-in-chief of the Anti-Enemy Newspaper. In November 1940, the Anti-Enemy Daily was renamed Jin-Cha-Ji Daily, with Deng Tuo as editor-in-chief and president. In Malan Village, Deng Tuo and the newspaper staff ran newspapers while guerrilla warfare in the Japanese army for 10 years, creating a miracle of "running newspapers with eight mules".

Zhang Haiying, vice chairman of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, said: The Jin-Cha-Ji Ribao is one of the earliest, longest-running, and most influential party newspapers in the border areas where the CPC has been based behind enemy lines.

Cao Haibo, member of the Standing Committee of the Baoding Municipal CPC Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, said: The first generation of "newspaper operators" represented by Deng Tuo, Shu Tong, and Chen Chunsen and the news contingent led by them were born into death and bloodied, creating a miracle in the history of Chinese journalism and making outstanding contributions to the Cause of the Chinese Nation's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

Cao Haibo said that Deng Tuo's daughter Deng Xiaolan was born in Malan Village and did not leave until she was 3 years old. After ms. Deng Xiaolan retired, she returned to Malan Village, where her father had fought, volunteered to teach for 18 years, using music to illuminate the way forward for the children in the mountainous areas, and led 44 children of the Malanhua Children's Voice Choir to the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Winter Olympics, singing "Ode to the Olympics" in Greek for the world, showing the style of Baoding teenagers in the new era.

At the commemorative exhibition site, more than 30 calligraphy works by Deng Tuo, Shu Tong and Chen Chunsen were exhibited, as well as the precious original newspaper bound edition of the Jin-Cha-Ji Daily and the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" published by the Jin-Cha-Ji Daily in May 1944.

"If one day you come to the beautiful Malan, don't forget to sing a song in your heart, let the children know that love is in the world; if you come to the beautiful Malan one day, don't forget to bring a bright wreath of flowers, where the heroes of the anti-enemy are buried..." Under the command of the 79-year-old Deng Xiaolan, 9 small members from the Malan Small Band in Fuping County sang with a deep singing of "If one day you come to Malan" to freeze the commemoration of the day.
