"Jin-Cha-Ji Daily": The banner that does not fall - the spirit of the War of Resistance

"In the autumn of 1941, the Japanese Kou concentrated their forces and launched a large-scale attack on the Wolf's Tooth Mountains in our Jin-Cha-Ji base area. At that time, the Seventh Company was ordered to persist in guerrilla warfare around the Wolf's Tooth Mountain..."

This passage may be familiar to many friends, it is selected from a text in the sixth-grade Primary School Chinese textbook of the Renjiao Edition: "Five Heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain", in the face of the national peril, the vast number of Chinese sons and daughters responded to the call of the Communist Party of China to unite and resist the War of Resistance, and threw themselves into the rolling torrent of defending the country and resisting the Japanese invaders.

The story told in this text was once published in the "Jin-Cha-Ji Daily" at that time, and through the propaganda of the "Jin-Cha-Ji Daily", the national integrity of the five heroes who regarded death as a homecoming and preferred to die unyieldingly, and the heroic spirit of not fearing violence and fighting to the end in bloody battles greatly inspired the vast number of soldiers and people. And what I want to tell you today is the story of the legendary newspaper "Jinchaji Daily" and the great spirit behind it.

"Jin-Cha-Ji Daily": The banner that does not fall - the spirit of the War of Resistance

In 1937, the July 7 Incident opened the prelude to the nation's War of Resistance, and the Eighth Route Army led by the Communist Party of China advanced into North China and created the anti-Japanese base area in the Jin-Cha-Ji Border Region. In 1938, the Japanese mobilized 50,000 troops to launch a multi-way attack on the central area of Jin-Cha-Ji, and the "Jin-Cha-Ji Daily" newspaper, which was founded less than 3 months ago, was also bombed by enemy planes, most of the equipment was destroyed, and the comrades of the newspaper had to cross the mountains and move to daganhe Village in Wutai Mountain.

In September 1938, the Japanese began to besiege Wutai Mountain again, and in order to produce a few more issues of the newspaper, more than a dozen comrades of the newspaper office insisted on staying at the station. The Japanese Kou soon approached the village of Daganhe, where the newspaper was located, and the newspaper of that day had not yet been printed, and the comrades had no choice but to quickly disassemble the machine and transfer it. This was also the first time that the newspaper company began to "guerrilla newspaper" with a printing press. The heavy printing equipment was transported by a convoy of 15 donkeys and mules, and the transfer teams carried rifles and paper on their backs and struggled through the steep mountains. For the sake of secrecy, the newspaper's name at that time was "Guerrilla Detachment of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region."

Let me tell you about a local wedge tip. This place also has a very close relationship with the Jin-Cha-Ji Daily, which is a small mountain village in the deep valley of the South Mountain in Pingshan County's Rolling Dragon Valley, and the Jin-Cha-Ji Daily Newspaper was stationed in the Area of Rolling Dragon Ditch for a long time.

"Jin-Cha-Ji Daily": The banner that does not fall - the spirit of the War of Resistance

In August 1941, more than 70,000 Japanese puppet troops "swept" the Jin-Cha-Ji Border Region, and more than 2,000 (enemy) people surrounded the Area of Rolling Dragon Ditch. In order to catch up with the printing of the newspaper of the day, it was too late to transfer the equipment at that time, so the comrades buried the equipment in the tip of the wrench, and the comrades of the newspaper company, together with the local masses, militia, and guerrillas, circumnavigated with the enemy, bravely and cleverly "seven in and seven out of the tip of the wrench," dug out the equipment seven times repeatedly to print the newspaper, and then buried the equipment for transfer, so that 23 issues of newspapers were produced in the 25 days of the enemy's "sweeping.", and these 23 issues of newspapers were very popular with the people in the base areas. Encouraging the military and civilians to resist the war played an immeasurable role.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Jin-Cha-Ji Ribao persisted in issuing it for many years in such an extremely cruel war environment and under extremely rudimentary working conditions, propagating the principles and policies of the Communist Party of China, guiding the anti-Japanese struggle in the border areas, and becoming an unending banner for the Jin-Cha-Ji Border Region. The story of the legendary newspaper "Jin-Cha-Ji Daily" is a vivid embodiment of the great spirit of the War of Resistance.

On September 3, 2020, at the symposium commemorating the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is a great victory of the national spirit with patriotism as the core, a great victory of the Communist Party of China playing a mainstay role, a great victory of the whole nation in the united will to fight bravely, and a great victory in the Chinese people fighting side by side with the anti-fascist allies and the people of all countries.

In the extraordinary century, a hundred hosts of the Central Radio and Television Corporation told about the spiritual genealogy of the Chinese Communists, and I am Kang Hui.
