At the end of the battle, when the enemy forced the five warriors to retreat to the main peak of Wolf's Tooth Mountain, their ammunition was also exhausted. Squad leader Ma Baoyu thought that even if he sacrificed himself, he would never leave his equipment to the enemy, so after smashing the gun, the five warriors jumped down from the mountain.
Thankfully, Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi, among the five warriors, miraculously survived by hanging from a branch. After Recovering, Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi returned to the team and continued to work for the revolutionary cause of the motherland. Ge Zhenlin also participated in the War of Liberation and the War of Aid to Korea, and after the war, he transferred to the local government to take charge of other work and continued to shine for the construction of the motherland.
