In 2005, the only survivor of the Five Heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain, Ge Zhenlin, died quietly at the age of 88, and the story of the Five Heroes has truly become history and inspires all future generations.
The story of the five heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain takes place in Baoding, Hebei Province, because China won a great victory in the Hundred Regiments War at that time, so in order to save momentum, the Japanese side organized 100,000 troops to frantically sweep the Jin-Cha-Ji region, and also sent about 3,000 people to the Wolf's Tooth Mountain area to sweep.
Due to the huge disparity in strength between our side and the enemy, the organization left six squads to buy time for the transfer of large troops. At that time, there were only five people left in the six squads in frequent battles, namely ma Baoyu, deputy squad leaders Ge Zhenlin, Hu Delin, Hu Fucai and Song Xueyi. With limited weapons, they bought a lot of time for the large troops.
Originally, they could quickly rendezvous with the large troops after the mission was completed, but for the safety of the large troops, they decided to take a dead end and lure the Japanese troops to the top of the cliff. They retreated and fought until they ran out of ammunition. Even so, they still used stones to attack the Japanese troops on the mountain. In the end, when the enemy stepped onto the top of the mountain, several people resolutely jumped from the top of the mountain, protecting the movement of the large troops and leaving their innocence in the human world. Among them, Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi were rescued because they were hung on a tree, and the other three died heroically.
One day in 1997, an 80-year-old Japanese veteran came to China, when passing through Wolf's Tooth Mountain, he insisted on getting out of the car, and then he got off the bus and immediately knelt down and prostrated his head to repent of his mistakes, and this incident caused an uproar at that time, which was reported by many media, and the matter came to an end.
What I want to say is that although history will not forget the occurrence of evil, history accepts repentance, even if repentance is not enough to erase the pain in our hearts, but repentance is the answer that all revolutionary martyrs have been waiting for a long time!
