01. Pseudo-National Government Army
If we want to talk about the puppet army, we have to mention the military strength under the puppet national government established after Wang Jingwei's rebellion, which is a relatively large part of the puppet army. In March 1940, Wang Jingwei surrendered to Japan and established a puppet government in Nanjing. The Wang puppet government followed the example of the Nationalist government in setting up the Military Commission as the highest military command organ of the puppet Nationalist government army, and Wang Jingwei concurrently served as the chairman of the committee. After the establishment of the Wang puppet government, in order to expand its military strength, Wang Jingwei, with the support of the Japanese, took in many troops, and by the time Japan surrendered, the Wang puppet government already had 7 group armies and some appeasement troops. However, these puppet armies have mixed personnel and are independent of each other, and there are many factions in the army, making it difficult to form a unified command, and their combat effectiveness is not strong. Wang Jingwei once fell into the embarrassing situation of "no army to use".
In order to cultivate his cronies, Wang Jingwei set up 3 guard divisions and consciously used the Nationalist Huangpu sheng who was captured in the battlefield to fight the Japanese army as a senior and mid-level officer, thus cultivating a "Whampoa" unit. These three guard divisions were the best equipped and of the highest quality of officers and men in the pseudo-Nationalist army, and after the surrender of the Japanese army, the main force of this force was incorporated into the Nationalist 74th Army.

02. The Puppet Manchurian Empire Army
The Puppet Manchurian Imperial Army was an army formed with the establishment of the puppet state of Manchukuo, and was the first puppet army in modern history. This puppet army first came from the Northeast Border Defense Army. After the September 18 Incident, some officers of the Northeast Border Defense Army surrendered to the Japanese, implemented "autonomy" under the cover of the Japanese, and wantonly suppressed the anti-Japanese people, becoming an important accomplice of the Japanese army in ruling northeast China and supporting puppet Manchuria. The important generals in this army were Yu Zhishan, the town guard envoy of the eastern border, Ji Xing, the defender of Yanji town, Zhang Haipeng, the envoy of Taoliao Town, Xi Qia, chief of staff of the Office of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Northeast Border Defense Army in Kyrgyzstan, and Ma Zhanshan, acting deputy commander of the Northeast Border Defense Army stationed in Jiangsu.
At the beginning of the establishment of the puppet Manchurian Army, there were also many factions and independent governments. Later, the Japanese reformed it, eliminated a large number of old-school officers, strengthened "training", and stationed a large number of military advisers. Through the transformation, a relatively regular "National Defense Force" was formed. At the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Red Army entered the northeast. The puppet Manchurian Empire army collapsed under the powerful offensive of the Soviet army.
03. Puppet Mongolian-Xinjiang United Autonomous Government Army
Many people do not know the history of the pseudo-Mongolian-Xinjiang united autonomous government. Its predecessors were the Joint Committee of the Mongolian Government, which was instigated by the Japanese army in July 1933 and formed with the participation of some Mongol princes, and Li Shouxin's Chadong Special Autonomous Region. In May 1936, with the support of the Japanese army, the two regimes merged into a pseudo-Mongolian-Xinjiang united autonomous government, and the capital was in Dehua, and later moved to Hohhot. Chaired by Prince Demuchuk Donlupu, Li Shouxin formed a military force called the 'Pseudo-Mongolian Army'.'
At the beginning of the formation of the puppet Mongolian army, there were two corps, Li Shouxin, commander of the First Army, and Gui Guiting, commander of the Second Army. Since the beginning of its formation, there has been a discord between the Han and Mongol ethnic groups, and it has not been completely resolved. That's why they fight underground. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, this army was absorbed by Fu Zuoyi and became a "regular army".
04. North China Appeasement Army
The predecessor of the North China Appeasement Army was called the Hebei Provincial Special Police Force. In December 1935, the traitor Yin Rugeng established the "Jidong Defense Communist Autonomous Government" with the support of the Japanese army, and expanded the Special Police Force of Hebei Province into 5 corps. On December 14, 1937, the day after the Japanese army captured Nanjing, the Japanese established a puppet Republic of China government in Peiping and formed an appeasement army. The main force of the appeasement army is the Hebei Provincial Special Police Force.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Appeasement Army accepted the change of Sun Lianzhong, commander of the 11th Theater, and became a "regular army".
